You would think the front would be lower than it is. I'm still trying to figure mine out as well, with what i've done to the front I should have 8" of drop but it only measures out at 7".

Man those sunfire/cavalier buckets are comfortable seats.

well I did not score much at the swap meet but since then I found a cowl hood and got the rest of the body work done and shot it with slick sand and put a guide coat on it this morning now for the fun part lots of block sanding.

Got my first round of Blocking done now for round 2 hope to get second coat on in the next day or 2 and try to get it blocked this weekend so it will be ready for 2k primer and block then tear it down prep the inside and paint if I can decide on color was going to 2 tone it synergy green bottom with black top but found out the synergy green is $800.00 a gal. (It took me a little bit to catch my breath when my paint supplier quoted me the price) so it might end up all black unless I can find another color for the 2 tone.

Anybody got any ideas for paint colors.

Viper blue (or something similar) would make a nice two tone with the black. Of course, if you are doing the jambs and such black, you shouldn't need nearly a gallon of green. It is pretty thin, though. You would want to shoot it over a light sealer to ensure good coverage.

If it makes you feel better, 2005 Avalanche yellow was $680/gal for Chromabase. I, too, about crapped. Nason's base is like $220, but it seems a lot thinner. My customer (dad) and I are still discussing it. Blazer looks good!

I am still trying to decide what colors to go with my original plan was to go synergy green from bottom up to just under the door handles and black from there up with the interior and jambs being green. I like solid black but also what it to be different from anything I have seen.

I did make a little progress today finished blocking the first coat and got my second coat laid down just letting it dry a little before spraying my guide coat on.

You could always flip the color and do the green on top, and keep the jambs black. Keep the paint break high (maybe an inch or so off of the top of the fenders and bottom of the door windows). Bleack would be cheaper to fix a door ding in, also.

I am thinking of going solid black to start with and will leave it black if my body work turned out good and straight and have a friend of mine do some hand pin stripe work or airbrush work on it. (crossing my fingers been awhile since I did much body work ) and if it is not straight enough for gloss black then do the bottom in green as it will not show slight waves near as bad as the black.

Ok I am now looking for paint color ideas I cant decide what color or colors to go with it does need to go with the tan seats in the earlier pics as I have decided to go with the stock tan interior at this time instead of the gray cavalier seats I was going to switch to .

Well I have decided on colors it will be sour apple green inside and up to about 1.5" below the top of the fenders and black on top but the pait has been put on hold as I have decided to do a LS swap so I pulled the 400sb and 350turbo trans I got the 2004 truck 5.3 and 4l60E thurs and pulled the trans to take into get 2wd shaft and housing installed sinse it was a 4x4 also pulled alt,ac and manifolds and today I ordered the Dirty Dingo motor mounts to get started

I got my trans back this afternoon so I decided to get to work and I got the motor and trans bolted in (The dirty dingo mounts work great) had to do a little grinding on the pass side manifold but not much.

Well I am almost ready to send the harness and ecu off but not sure what gear to run in the rearend the gears now are way to high (not sure exactly what they are but 1 3/4 turns of driveshaft is one rotation of the tire.) anybody runing a similar set up got any ideas I was thinking 3:55. Im running a 29" tire. I would like to have good power from dead stop but also wanting to get good fuel milage as that is the reason I decided to go with the 5.3 and 4l60e.

Also what rpm should I shoot for at highway speed 70mph not real sure were the 5.3 does the best.

I know its been awhile but bought a Harley so had to put the project on hold and now it is going to become my oldest sons ride when he turns 16 in April.
We decided to go with gloss black with satin black top got all the parts painted last weekend and now putting it back together. Also decided to go back with the sbc 400 and turbo 350 trans for the time being as funds are low and need to get it on the road for the boy (or he will want to drive my truck).
