My 1986 Suburban C10 Silverado- a great truck! Bought in Dec. '93 to replace my first car ('81 Dodge Mirada CMX) and only sold in the Fall of '08 after buying my brand new Silverado pickup.

My first truck was my 79 that grandpa gave me in aug. 09. I still need to stick a motor in it.
First one I bought was my 86 suburban with the intention of putting the engine/trans in the 79. I decided against that when I realized how useful that 4900lb box is

my first truck was a sweet, almost mint condition 1982 c10 longbed with a 6.2 diesel. it was white. I have searched for it a few times with no luck.

My first truck was a 1984 Ford F-150 with a 351W, 4-speed, 4x4, 4.11 gears, 6 inch lift and 35" tires. She was a longbed standard cab (always my preference) in the blue and white two tone with a big, home made pushbar/winch bumper, Warn winch, bed bar and 4 KC Daylighters. She was a great and reliable truck, never left me stranded ever. Bought her when I was almost 17 then sold her almost 4 years later when I thought I was going to get a new Z71......didn't happen and I still miss that truck. :waah:

Well... times were tough, and we didn't have a lot of cash. So, when I was 16, I was stuck running around in my moms Cutlass Ciera for quite a while. Later that year, my Great Grandfather passed away and left us a small amount of money. (just about enough to cover this truck) So, my dad took me to a friends delivery company and let me pick this '87 Chevy S10 out of his delivery fleet. (yeah, the grille is out of a '91, I changed it later) It was a sweet ride, considering it had 150k miles on it when I got it.

This photo was in about '94 when I was a senior in high school. I had it until my junior year of college when the tranny caught fire ...:devil: I had a decent paying job by then at a car lot (and I had car fever), so I gave it back to my dad and bought a Jeep. I would love to know where it ended up.

first truck I bought my self was a '53 F100 , 351C / C6 auto. seen it on used car lot and thought it would be cool to look at, I knew we could'nt afford a second vehicle. I pull'd up and my wife seen it, she put her foot down and said "ABSALUTLY NOT" WE ARE NOT BUY'N THAT UGLY A$$ TRUCK ! I didnt wanna buy it, and it was rougher than you could ever amagine.
that night I stew'd about her tell'n me NO when I did'nt even want any way, I drove it home the next day,,,,,, I put about 63,829,742 dollars in it over the next 5 or 6 years and it still need'd a ton of work, but she never told me NO again so I guess it was worth every dollar !

I bought my first truck off the OK Used Car lot in '73. It was a '72 trade-in and was like new for $2,800,IIRC. Solid Ochre SWB Fleetside Custom Deluxe w/Highlander,402/3spd,posi,tilt,tach,and wood floor is what I remember. I thought that was pretty unique at the time,liked the yellow paint,short bed,and it had cool muscle car stuff (not that we called them that). Actually,I didn't know it was a Highlander until I got more into all the details about these trucks 10-15 years later. I just remember it had a Parchment interior with a black/grey plaid seat. I only had it about a year when,late one night,someone ran a red light and t-boned me on my way home from dropping my girlfriend off :(

the first truck I ever had was a 72 chevy stepside 4x4, my dad gave it to me when I was 12 but he never had time for us to work on it so we sold it when I was about 14. it was bad burnt orange cab an walkoff black bed big holes in the floor and the glove box was always full of hose red shop rags and orange peanut butter crackers. The first truck I bought was a Mazda b-2200 I bought off my neighbor for 200.

my first vehicle i ever owned was a 1976 chevy C20 Custom Deluxe it was rusty the drivers side cab corner was gone you could lift the cab by hand on that side and above the wheel wells on the box the PO helt the rust together with silicone got it in 07 for $200 no motor or tranny then i got a 350 and thm 350 for it (later i find out the tranny is a car tranny and not long enough) i got the engine inthe truck and then gave up on it at 16 i felt over my head so i sold it to a friend for 100 in july of 08 for a derby truck i still see it from time to time and then in sept of 08 oi bought my 1978 gmc c25 serria grande for 2500

1969 chevy C-10. I was given a 1965 Corvair for my 16th birthday. One week later I traded it and $250 to my dad for his 69' C-10. Never was a car guy, they are worthless in my opinion. It did not look like this when I got it though.Dad owned his own body shop so he let me work on it nights and weekends to get it like the 1st pic. At 18 I thought i knew how to do some hot rod work. Turns out the only thing that was hot was dad.:censored::cuss:

1st picture was after I got done with it when I was 16 the 2nd set of pictures is as far as it ever got when I was 18ish.

The first truck I bought was some sort of Toyota (el camino type) when I was station in Japan in 1976. I was given an F100 4x4 rust bucket and an F500 Dump Truck when I was in high school. The 4x4 was only on the road a few weeks before I was made to park it. First American truck (live in Japan 10 Years) I bought was a 86 Ford Ranger. My first GM truck was a 1992 C1500 WT (in 1992).

I have a picture of a truck that looks close to what my first one looked like except mine had a single stack exhaust comming up thru the step and along the rear of the cab ..and it was a yellow color..

68 Chevy 6cyl 4 speed plain jane truck. Bought it in 88 when I turned 16. Gave $600 for it, drove it for about a year and a half then sold it for $1500 to someone who just had to have it.
