Your post reminded me of a time back in high school (late 80's) when the throttle cable broke on my 72 Chevy Pickup. My friend got under the hood and pulled it down so that it was nearly closed. I told him to stay clear of the manifold and the fan. He manually did the throttle and I would yell "shift" he would let up and I would shift. I drove to my dad's work, but he didn't have tools so we had to drive to a local mechanic who fixed it for $10. Altogether we drove just over a half mile. The look on the faces of other drivers was priceless.

That sir, is priceless! Haha, my cousin bought a vw bug with no throttle cable. We tied a kite string to it and ran it through the back seat to the front seat and thats how he drove it for a few months :lol:

Ok,this isn't me and it's not a 67-72 truck. But,I actually witnesses these clowns try to do what you see here...REALLY! They were really thinking they could do this and put a lot of effort into trying. Thank God they couldn't put the ramps up on the trailer. Why you ask? It could be that a couple few tons were pushing them into the pavement. That whole Chevy truck is behind the trailer wheels:

That pic with the trailer reminded me what I saw the other day. Believe it or not there are two lawnmowers and a four wheeler stuffed in there too lol.

Yes. Every year we enjoy watching this "clan" who set up in the far NW corner every year. They are totally annoying at night riding round and round on anything that makes noise and burns oil. Look close at those two cars. They were hauled up straight out of where they belonged...in the junk yard,where they had probably already been for a couple decades. Once fine cars with many good parts,but rotted to the core. I mean really,as in way beyond highly ambitious. And you see they hauled them home,too.

I thought it was. I know exactly where that spot is. My dad and I went together for the first time in a long time in spring 2011, the last time we went together was 1998 (we came to a couple shows a year for a few years... got a lot of good parts for my old 58 apache back then.)

You probably walked right past me,then. The second pictures were from Spring '11 taken from my spot. That's the top of my tent there. All the pictures were taken from my spot.
