Nate, thanks! Hobart 187. These are the only other pictures I have, showing the frame without the top and the plates I used for the casters.

Ours is a set of handtrucks with trays welded on to hold the bottle and welder. Doesn't take up much floor space and it easy to move around.

And this is my oil change cart for under the lift. It has angled shelves for oil filters and I scalped a cheap tool box for a couple drawers.
I rearranged the GMC emblems (my initials)

Re: Lets see your welding carts!!

I guess I will start with an HB cart just get going, but I will need to modify it at some point unless I use pure Argon to MIG with, I will need to rack 2 bottles as my welder will can both MIG and TIG. with 2 bottles and 2 regulators/hoses, swapping will take about 30 seconds.

Here are mine-
This is my mig cart, made from an old pressure washer,it holds the bottle and a tray for tools.

It also leans back-

And,this is my big gas powered welder. It has the front end from a couple riding mowers connected together to make a platform, with a tongue at one end to pull it with.there are 2,8" rims on the end to hold +and - welding leads.

Sooner or later I plan to do something like that. I need to hold 2 tanks and it looks like there is plenty of room for 2.

That is one great (tidy) idea! Little tool boxes are so affordable
and built so sturdy nowadays!

Did you use the wheels that came with the tool box for the frame wheels? What size angle is that?

I have been trying to decide what type of welding cart to buy or make - think I just made a decision :)

yes the wheels are the ones that came with the tool box.
the angle is 1-1/2 x 1-1/2.

for me I needed somewhere to store all the welding stuff.
jacket,gloves, helmet,clamps,mig wire,ect....
glad that you liked it....I see a lot of nice ones above mine in here that look very nice, but I needed somewhere to put things.

Rich1028: I have to admit to blatant theft. I borrowed / stole your idea. I liked your cart so much I built one using yours as an example. Sears had that box and it was on sale, looks like it being discontinued :)

I used 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 1/8 angle for the frame and bottle support. 1 x 1/8 flat stock for the bottle supports. 1/4 x 4 flat stock (cut to 4 x 4) for the wheel supports. 5/16 x 1 and 5/16 x 3/4 bolts for the wheels.

Up till this point my welder had been used mainly for repairs, this was my 1st real welding project. I did all the welding, with my son pointing me in the right direction. He is a welder by trade.

The first 2 pics are the new welding cart. The last is what I was using. The old one was a nursery cart but it served well for a number of years. The welder lived in the barn with a gravel floor until I closed in a couple bays and laid concrete for the shop.
