Another update, the guy just called back with the step side, I am getting the complete truck minus engine and trans for 400 bucks. The cab is shot but I will have lots of extra parts to work with.

The stepper has arrived!!!!!
lots of parts I can use and it fits in the garage nicely.... My wife isn't very happy with me right now..... As for the bed, the metal is in pretty good shape, not much rust. The tailgate is missing and the wood is missing along with some of the cross members. All in all its just a good foundation to start with. I will post some better pics this weekend when I began demo.

Nice score, stepside beds are damned expensive in good shape so I would say the bed alone is worth $400 forgetting about the rest of the truck, the frame is a bonus :lol: welcome to the stepside club.

Some pics of recent progress over the past week....
