Re: Need help with 1972 chevrolet c30
Nice to see u making progress finally. Depending on how long the truck was parked up for the rear wheel cylinders probably gone now and probably check the master cylinder and booster too. Did u find out how much it would cost to import a cab from USA?

Re: Need help with 1972 chevrolet c30
I have a good cab like that but I don't have any idea how u would get it to whatever island you are on.

Re: Need help with 1972 chevrolet c30
You do have a booster on that truck - but it's not a vacuum booster like you're probably used to seeing. Your truck was a diesel from the factory, which makes no vacuum to supply to the conventional vacuum booster. It has what GM calls Hydroboost, you can see the Hydroboost unit behind your master cylinder. Instead of vacuum assist, you have hydraulic assist power brakes - the hydroboost is driven off the power steering pump.
Now that you've swapped in a gas engine in place of the diesel, you may want to also swap in a conventional master cylinder and vacuum booster, just to simplify things for yourself. |
Re: Need help with 1972 chevrolet c30
cool! like seeing the foreign stuff. or foreign builds i mean. that body style stuff is dime a dozen everywhere around here. you shouldnt have a problem finding decent parts.
