From what you have done so far, you seem to be mechanicly inclined; no word on what the coolant issue is?

PS; the Suburban (and K5) rear bumper brackets are not the same as the truck brackets for that style ("sport") bumper.
You are going to need to track those down from a truck. They come up in the classifieds here from time to time, or some of the vendors carry them too.

I got my front tires put on and now it looks good. It even lowered some more with those 245 60 15 I got put on. I'm gonna try and get it aligned tomorrow, hopefully the shop won't give me much trouble for the drop. I did get 2 beauty rings for the front wheels. The ones it had were pretty beat up. I'm also gonna do something about that headliner.

I can see where that poster earlier is coming from. You've obviously got the ability to get under there and do heavy suspension work and do it quickly. I wouldn't think the coolant issue would be much of a stretch for you to handle. You're apparently well familiar with using tools and working on stuff.

Thanks Kevin and Tx, I try to do all my repairs myself if I can. Sometimes I just don't have the time and patience for some of the more difficult things. I am somewhat mechanically inclined but I get lazy from time to time. The coolant issue has not been resolved per se. I did change out the thermostat and the housing and the upper rad hose. There was no leak coming from there, I just changed because the housing had pitting and the hose was needing replacing anyway. I haven't focused on the exterior leak because I have not seen any coolant leaking from the normal areas like the rad, water pump, hoses etc.... I will be doing a pressure test like you all mentioned and hopefully narrow it down. I did try to replace my plugs yesterday and did 5 of them. The ones on the driver side were easy but the ones on the passenger side are a little tight. I just did 1 on the passenger side, the other 3 are TIGHT. I can turn them but it seems like they've been on there forever. I'm going to spray some WD40 and see if will loosen them a to remove them. I will tell you the 5 I did pull out were OLD and didn't look like the've been replaced in a while.

I'm going to get my buddy to make me an extension from the truck frame to the bumper brackets. This will secure it better and keep that rattling sound to minimum.

Something to think about when you're doing the plugs...

If its been getting coolant into a cylinder, either from head gasket, cracked head, or intake gasket, that cylinders spark plug will be very clean compared to the others.

Thanks I'll pay close attention to the 3 that I couldn't do yesterday. The 5 I did pull out were just wore out, the white ceramic was brown and looked like they were in there too long. I'm gonna try and get underneath the truck and pull them out that way.

Nice truck, that headliner isn't bad... I kind of like realtree cammo. I wouldn't put that in my truck though either. I would expect to see that east coast, like North Carolina. Looks like they at least did a decent job.

What ? Man, Texas is eat up with that Realtree camo stuff. There's tons of guys around here have their whole trucks wrapped in that stuff. Hell, half the babes at the pool wear camo bikinis. I figured Texas was ground zero for that fad.

Haven't really done much on the truck lately but drive it. Saving up some coin but kind of impossible this time of year. Funny thing, last night I was walking in front of the truck going inside the house i noticed that my driver side front tire is pushed out further than my passenger side. Meaning, my passenger side tucks in more. Could it be that the wheels are different size in width or I might have to look into it deeper? Chasis or suspension issues. When I got it aligned the guy never said anything was wrong but would he even said anything.

Well, took the front tires off to compare them and they are both the same. I visually checked the frame the best I could and couldn't see any visible damage. Will have to find another alignment shop to verify the job of the 1st guy. Any ideas as to what I may be missing?

As far as the wheels having different distances, Ive seen this a few times. a few things to check: measure the backspacing of each wheel, count the number of shims used on the upper control arm to see if they are close, check the u bolts that hold the lower control arm in place (make sure they are tight) and measure the thickness of both rotors to see if they are the same. another thing you should do is measure from the rotor to the frame on each side.

I'm not sure about the shims yet, but as far as the wheels being the same, they are. I might have to take it to you Robert so another pair of eyes can look at it. Rotor measure the same on both side, 1 1/4" thick.
