jay-dawg 07-26-2003 05:11 PM

I had the same idea in mind. I also wanted to use the maltese cross mirrors but I think I'll stick with the stockers.

JHickson6 07-26-2003 05:53 PM

i know www.mooneyesusa.com has mirrors with the Iron Cross, check them out they might have lights too or they can probably aim you to someone that does if they don't.

I seem to remember someone using the tall, slim Caddy tail lights that looked pretty cool. Here is a link to a local company that makes custom housings for frenching in tail lights.

There's a '67 plum/maroon swb stepside running around town with a set of 60-66 fleetside tail lights. :) It looks pretty sweet frenched into the rear of the fenders. :metal:  I'd do it. :)

My $0.02:

LED lights are ~$25 ea from Buytruckstuff . Add two pieces of 16ga sheet metal and about a week of grinding, welding and bending and you get this:

BTW: You can't see it too well in this shot, but the lights are slightly recessed into the stakepocket.

highboy_04 07-28-2003 01:04 PM

has anyone tried the elcamino bumper thing on a fleetside truck?

mcmlxix 07-30-2003 02:16 PM

CHECK OUT THIS COMPANY. THEY MALE ALL KINDS OF LED LIGHTS .. AND SOME ARE FLEXABLE ...
