I know this is a old thread but thought I would update it. I didn't use the bearing at all. I had questions about the drive shaft after the 6.0 4l80e install and decided to check it out myself. I found they screwed it up and cut mine to short. They Hawk's ended up having a 1 piece built for me at their cost.:chevy:

I know you have a one-piece now, but why wouldn't you have upgraded to the HD carrier bearing instead of the light duty one?

nice! i stay in atl now, but home is in central.....i graduated from liberty. you wouldnt happen to know the cost or measurement of your DS being a lwb? i'm doing the same swap on my 69 lwb with a 6.0/4l80e :)
