Your headlights are exactly what I've been searching for for my 67. What headlights did you have to go with to get this look. I know everyone has been talking about these jeep headlights

Just so you know, HID is not a focused beam and requires a completely different reflector design. HID conversions (using a reflector intended for a prefocus halogen capsule) are specifically illegal at federal and many state levels and several companies selling these exact products have been fined heavily already.

Additionally you can search my posts, I've posted many times on the subject HID headlights in a huge 7" reflector is just dumb, HID exists to put a cooler light source in a smaller more aerodynamic (and typically plastic) package. It is not a better light source, quite the opposite, they create night blindness. HID will be entirely replaced by high output LED in less than 10 years and is already starting to be phased out. HID is to automotive lighting what plasma is to flat screen TVs, an inferior impractical technology to address a packaging problem (that we don't have), nothing more.

Ok so do you have the complete set up I would need to change my factory 67 c10 pickup headlights to the led setup?

There is (or was) a setup that is a 7" replacement offered by Harley for the bikes, don't know the status on it, but easy enough to search for.

I think i have ruled out HIDs because of the comments. I have came up with this for my solution. This is souly based on reviews and recommendations from friends does anyone have any suggestions of product they have tried. Also is a 100w/55w to powerful I would light bright high beams.

The are $40 for the pair. They are a lot cheaper than HIDs

The bulbs alone are $40. You still need a housing to put them in which is $30 for a pair. I have Sylvania ZXE bulbs in my truck and I can't really ask for more light.

I have them and they are worth every penny IMO. With the relay upgrade they work even better. This is the combo I will use again and again if I continue to build these trucks.

Which bulb in yalls opinion will give the brightest white look with the least amount of blue. Sylvania ZXE or Sylvania Silverstars? I have an Infiniti g35 with HID s in them and love them so I would like to get the brightest white without going to HID s in my 67.

And does it really matter what globe or housing you put the bulbs in as long as it's a 7 in. Unsealed housing?

Zxe are brighter. They look blue when they are not turned on but they are pure white light.

55/100s should be fine, use ceramic sockets and make sure you have good ventilation around the reflectors, oh and don't drive around with your high beams on all the time when you are doing stopped or doing 10 MPH, you should be fine. Hellas are very good reflectors, a better beam than any sealed beam. There are a handfull better (and a lot more expensive) and dozens and dozens worse.

The purpose of a headlight is to project light in a usefull way in front of you, so yes the reflector is important otherwise you are strapping two lamps with 60 watt bulbs to the front of your truck.

All on, it should project a precisely focused beam a mile and a half, no HID or LED lighting will that.

That's what I am running. Hella H4 housings with Silverstars and it's bright as hella!
