Cool truck. Nice find.

My 85 Silverado looks to be optioned the same other than mine having carpet. I do like the black door dent strip on yours more than the chrome one that was on mine. I guess my truck is more of a Scottsdale than a Silverado now as I ditched the carpet in favor of a black rubber mat and also removed the side molding.

I used it to help a friend move a trailer yesterday. I only moved it to a different part of his property.

Wow, what a great find!

Even considering the extremely low miles, I can't believe the quality of the original paint and lack of rust on this one for being an IL truck.

Any history on it? One owner?

Re: 1985 K/20 Scottsdale 33k original miles

It was a 1 owner truck. I have a copy of the original title when it was bought new with 7 miles on it. In 1989, with 23k miles on it, thèy took it to their Florida home, where it spent most of the rest of the time they owned it.
The truck is completely rust free. The original paint, although low 1985 quality, is in amazing condition.

I put new tires on it a few weeks ago, it still had 2 of the original tires on it!

The history on this truck reads like an epic barn find.

Updated pics looks great. Like the NOS bumper guards and cleaned up OG paint.

I recently joined this great forum and saw a few of your awesome threads. You seem to have a niche or patience to find all of these great trucks!

I have a soft spot for original paint and NOS parts. After spending years messing with old Jeeps, it's obvious that OG paint vehicles and NOS parts are getting more and more difficult to find. Assuming these trucks are similar, in that most have lived a hard life - which makes finding a low mile original paint even more rewarding.

Really enjoying reading through this forum and will hopefully find a nice clean pick-up soon. Gonna try to exercise patience to find the 'right' one.

Mark, I got a pretty good deal on them. They are Transforce AT, very close to the Bridgestone's 773's, but a few hundred cheaper. They are LT 265/75/16, same height as the 235/85/16's but a touch wider.

Absolutely beautiful truck! I believe that is my dream truck. I just love the scottsdale trim and dark blue paint! I also really like the steel wheels and caps.

It looks like the big brother of the 85 SWB Scottsdale I sold last year.

Oh it will have a pampered life for sure, I'm big on preservation and originality. It won't be used for towing. It has a nice garage spot with the others :). I would love to see a pic of your truck! Send a pic to me at n2trucks72@aol.com if you want.
