Yea, if it's never been messed with, you'll have to grind/hammer out the rivets. It' no big deal at all.

Your best bet on finding the new location, is to have the new engine/trans hanging from the cherrypicker, bolt it up to the engine mounts, then slide the crossmember to the location where it lines up with the trans mount. Mark the holes, drill the frame, and bolt it in with some grade 8 bolts and nylock nuts.

Then do burnouts.
