1/2" aluminum rod and 3/8 rod ends. Drilled and tapped the rod for the rod ends. Just didn't take the time to get left hand thread tap and rod ends. So it wasn't adjustable like I wanted.

Be careful it doesn't end up higher on one side like mine... still not sure how that happened.

And the notch in the dash worked better with the column spaced down a 1/4 or so at the top bracket

Awesome man you've been such a big help in this process. I hope to have a completed dash by the end of the week. I'll keep this thread updated with my progress.

I got my insert here, if your planning on aftermarket or the stock speedometer you'll need the correct speedo cable the dash end is screw on. Not clip on like the oem one

Man I wanna say I seen where someone had to cut the back of their 60-66 dash in order to have the dash point up some.

I picked up a welder from a buddy of mine last night so I should have some updates tonight.

Not much of an update but I did get the final placement of the dash nailed down and the steering column hole trimmed. I pulled the dash back out and began filling all the old spot welds for when I weld it in place. The first few welds looked like a pile of boogers, but once I git the heat and wire speed dialed in they started looking a little better.
