Agreed, thanks for sharing your knowledge. I felt pretty comfortable with the company I ordered the trans through, but time will tell. For reference, my trans is actually a 4L65E it turns out. Here is a link to the one I picked up.

Long story short, still waiting for a opening with a shop that has agreed to "look" at it I did add a quart of MMO and have a few miles on it and it is much better, but not fixed yet.
