Fabbed up a new upper radiator hose out of 2" stainless necked down to 1.5" and added a port for the steam ports. Also got the 2 step in there with clutch and first gear micro switches

Well here's an update I wanted to do a nut and bolt check along with a fluid change on the tremec tko. While jacking the truck up the Jack slipped. It ruined the bumper, smashed the core support and seems to have ruined the jack too. Unfortunate accident but luckily it didn't get me too. Since my nice bumper is folded up I decided I might run some white bumpers for a while I kind of like them.

Nice build looking great. Sucks about the jack.

I like how you put cribbing under the tires with jack stands. I've seen two people die under a car when a jack gave away.

Nice build all around. Well documented. I especially like how you handled the ignition wires and valve covers. I know it's an LS, but I love the old school Chevy script on the covers.

Here's some pictures almost debating on going with a brushed aluminum look rather than paint but who knows?

Been busy sanding and making more things that need sanding. Hopefully one day I'll actually drive the damn thing. Ordered some killer wheels too they should be coming any day

Just read all the way through and great build! I hope I didn't miss it but where you get your seat cover from? I've got the same green interior and I'm looking for that green seat!
Thanks

Re: Project-Atlas

Thank you, the seat cover is the green houndstooth cover from brothers trucks I like it quite a bit

Re: Project-Atlas

I've been following your build through Instagram, but somehow missed your thread until now. The truck is looking great! Hard to beat that 505 dark green. The engine bay looks so good too. I'm curious to see what wheels you got, any wheel is going to give it quite a different look from those white walls.

Nice build. Truck is really coming out nicely. What did you do with the old radiator cover that was black with the dimple die holes in it?

Eastonspeedworks 03-17-2017 11:42 AM

Re: Project-Atlas

Thanks guys I love the 505 green myself! I used that cover on my other truck but I have one in bare aluminum if you need one let me know the wheel choice is some 20" Bonneville g wheels I think they will look good I've liked them on all the trucks I've seen

Re: Project-Atlas

Trucks looking awesome!
Any more pics of you front fender Wells? I like how you built some extra room for the tires. I'm at the same spot on my project and I'm thinking about doing it? Did that give you about another 1" drop?
Thanks

Eastonspeedworks 03-26-2017 02:46 PM

Re: Project-Atlas

I'll take some pictures next time I'm out there it doesn't really give you any more drop just room for a wider tire. If you want more drop you would have to cut the fender and run another style inner fender

6t9camaro 03-26-2017 03:00 PM

Re: Project-Atlas

Thanks that would be great! Yes I did notice you also modified the inner fender.
