Had a member on the other forum not sold me an original arm, I was planning on making one using my mig welder, 3/8ths round stock and 1/2" or so flat metal. Weld it up, grind it down, heat and bend appropriately, dress up with a little bondo or JB Weld, paint and bolt on.

I think it'd be a fairly easy task and if you took your time would look great.
