It’s a tough call for me as well. I like the looks of the white front better. But as you said being a stickler for originality, plus it being a unusual combo. I believe I’m just going to repaint the bumper to get rid of the black accent.
Now another question if you guys don’t mind. Is the GM Argent Silver in a rattle can like you get from advance auto the correct Argent silver?

The hood and eyebrow trim was a 68 only thing. I think a 67 cst should only have chrome grill inserts and a chrome front bumper.

I don’t know if anybody’s still subscribed to this or not. I finally got the bumper painted, well I had my dad paint it because he has 20 years body work experience. Anyways I decided to go with the original silver, for one I’m a stickler for originality, and two it’s different and seems kinda rare. I had Dad make it look like it had some age and character to it with some black fade, and then he cleared it with flat clear. I think it turned out really well. I’ll have to get a better picture picture outside sometime when it’s not raining.

Wow, that looks great! It really blends in well with the rest of the truck. Looks like it's still the original bumper. I have to say, the silver nose/bumper without trim is my favorite 67/68 front end setup. I have debated on switching mine to this style, but like you I am a stickler for originality and don't want to mess with my otherwise very original white nose/bumper setup!

Thanks man, I wasn’t sure how it would turn out but I’m really pleased with it. Dad even gave some fade to the bolt heads in the faded places, he’s a detail man haha I also gave her a CLR bath too and the results were amazing. I’ll post a before and after of one side.
And yeah I wouldn’t change yours either, yours is one of my favorite trucks I’ve ever seen. I love that color combo.

If you don’t mind could you tell me how to create the custom links in a signature like you have?

That really cleaned up nicely! The truck is lookin' great.

For custom links, you have to edit the text that is entered in your message for the link like so:

Nice truck. And yeah I like the white a lot too. I already had the paint to do the front end but mine being white top and silver front end was determined to be a rare factory combo, so I decided to keep it.

Hm for some reason the link isn’t working I got the custom text but the link says page cannot be found. I typed it up like this but without the spaces in the brackets. Is that correct?

I love the look of the white roof and nose but it might be refreshing to see one with the white roof and silver nose. That being said, it is your truck so do what makes you happy. Did not vote because that was not an option.;)

Sorry guys this is a somewhat old thread, the only reason it was brought back was I posted pictures of the bumper after it was painted silver for the guys who were already subscribed. Thanks for the comments though. Love that old picture.

Consider this thread closed unless someone just wants to discuss front end colors.
Here’s some more pics of the newly painted bumper I took today. One at home, one at college. I love the way it turned out.

I'm reeaally thinken about it haha. I'm not really sure how that happened. Must've just read the original post and replied. I couldn't believe how many views this thread ended up getting. It is an interesting topic I guess.
