You can buy the harness from various vendors, or you can make your own. The wiring isn't really difficult.

The idea is that instead of running the amperage for the headlights through the switch, you control the relays with the switch. Full amperage runs through the relay to the headlights. It preserves the switch and gives full voltage and amperage to the headlights, resulting in a brighter light.

My FiL did that. I don't know if it got hit, or what. I'd like to go back to the original, someday.

When I do this I'll do the 1st one comple and compare it to the others before I o them all. I know it's probably illegal and I will check the glare before I drive with them. If they glare bad they will just become art pieces I guess.

I have researched led bulbs a bit and I came across these. I may contact these ppl once I have my bulbs done. They seem very knowledgeable. The led they are displaying here is moveable so that may help me in this situation. https://youtu.be/IWDjFQuT7Gs

Well tonight I split 2 of my t3 bulbs. 1 high and 1 low beam. Here are some pictures. I am waiting for my h4 housings to come in and I will do more then. I am just doing this for experimental purposes. I understand this is illegal and I would not use these if the beam pattern is harmful to oncoming traffic (which I will try to test with a few different bulbs

Good to see an update.... and with successful lens removals! As to legality, IF glare is not an issue, I wouldn't worry about it. Technically, some E-code conversions are not DOT-approved, but properly adjusted they don't raise any eyebrows. I have run them in various vehicles, in several states, since the early Seventies and have never had an issue.

Here are brights and dims with the hella h4 glass. 1st with the morimoto 3.0 headlights and second with the hella bulbs thar came with the lenses

And the results with the t3 lens on the h4 back. 1st with morimoto 3.0 and second with the hella bulbs. Bulb is about 8 feet from my garage doors and this is only 1 single bulb. All are low beam picture first

Do you have to glue [or epoxy] the lens back on? Or does the stainless steel retaining ring hold it together?

Night shots. the cut off line actually isnt too bad with these morimoto 3.0 bulbs. This is only 1 bulb . On a vehicle it would be easier to aim. Low beam is the st picture

My old cibie lights fell apart.
Put hella h4 in their place.

Pretty neat taking a T3 apart and replacing with a H4

I did a tweek to the piece that blocks the light on the led light and it got rid of that line on on the low beam and I'm extremely happy about that. And I did a comparison to the original t3 an the pattern is very close to the same as I expected. Here is a picture of the bulbs in the same spot on low beam. 1st is original bulb. The led is much brighter and wider pattern.

In case anyone ever needs this info here this is what all 4 look like in the rad support. They look A little better in real life than the pictures show
