14010202: 80-84 passenger car 305

I would still say 80-81 because of the exhaust manifolds.

look at the trans pan...a t350 looks like a square with one corner cut at a 45deg

Ok, so I'm starting to think im off with this being a Caprice frame...305 with the THM200-4r would suggest maybe im working with a Monte Carlo?!?!? any thoughts?

caprice came with a 200r4 starting in 82.

the monte carlo is much shorter wheelbase, 110 inches, so look and see if the frame has been stretched in the middle. if it hasnt though, everything is looking like a caprice, wheelbase, engine, trans, rear axle, and that sway bar is a marble knocker for me.

That's not a G body rear axle. Sorry, but I've seen too many. Finding an 8.5" differential is uncommon (round cover indicates 8.5"). But that alone doesn't rule it out. What definitely says "No way" is the shocks mounted in front of the rear axle and sway bar attached inside the rear control arms.

Here's a G body axle:

I agree with joedoh that we're looking at a B-body (Caprice/Impala) chassis.
