By far the best mod I did to my truck was converting to discs in the front. If you plan on driving this truck like you would any other vehicle, and cannot emphasize enough how much safer your truck will be and more confident you can be in it with dis conversion.
AND if you want to lower the front even 3”, IMO, the spring only drop is too much. On my truck with 2 1/2” spindles and 2” springs from ECE, I had no problems running stock length shocks. In the rear with the 7” drop, I drilled the more vertical hole in the upper shock mount for the mount and used a second set of front shocks. My truck is not c-notched and I used the small urethane puck bump stops that came with the flip kit and while they do their job on occasion, I see no need for notching. |
