Hey, you gotta elaborate on that one... :) Are you talking about the orange Blazer that looks 100% original paint and has light yellow on the SPID? (it also had avocado plaid trim I believe) Or at least that's what it was ordered with, dunno if it showed up at the dealer that way or if the factory just built the original owner a totally different blazer than he asked for. Anyway, if none of this rings a bell... pls disregard :)

That had to be a typo or just the wrong SPID for that particular truck. I know that happened because I have the glovebox door off a friends Custom30 truck that was medium green but it says it was a light red Cheyenne

That there are 3 or more versions of factory bench seats that came installed over the years and that there are 3 different seat mounts of different heights and that's not counting the C40-C60 later versions that look very similar.

Heh, a couple of friends ordered a (whatever it is that Dodge makes that looks like a Blazer) in some purple, without the back seat, because they had no kids. It showed up orange with a back seat and options they didn't want. I think that the salesman just pulled up something from the back lot after they ran out of patience. The wife chewed the salesman up one side and down the other, but they ended up taking delivery on it, anyway! I'dve had my money back, or a real piece of that salesman's hide.

I know our trucks came with a front sway bar but have never heard of or seen a factory rear sway bar on our trucks. No pic of the Spid but the member says he will take one and post it and if a rear sway bar was available on our trucks that will be what I have recently learned about our trucks.

I have gained so much knowledge and information from the folks here. But the most recent is to always put a safety chain on the darn hood when your son changes out the latch. LOL. Or else you will be driving an hour to get another used hood. LOL.

Interesting. I knew there are at least two different types of seat adjusters, one set is taller.

I learned that the door seals that go between the front fender and cowl are not exclusive to 71-72 Cheyenne Supers and were also put on the 71-72 Cheyennes as well and I realized that the 1970 CST I had had them on too.

I learned today that the drivers side stepside spare fender cut out came in two sizes depending on tire configuration. The 1/2 ton (silver colored K10) had the cut out for spare stop before the bottom body line, 3/4 ton (orange colored K20) had it go below to make a bigger opening.

I learned on Sunday that my truck doesn't stop very well without any liners on the rear shoes

There were FOUR bed lengths:

6 ft short bed step and fleet
8 ft long bed step and fleet
8-1/2 ft Longhorn
9 ft stepside

I was just a beginner going into:chevy:, didn't even know what most parts were called. Messing with the hood latch, today I learned to ID an extension spring and torsion spring;)

Have a good one.

PS. I've been to many AC shops to fix my AC and same answer, we can't find any thing wrong, everything is working. I found an "old" guy and he solved it right away. Everything was working and so was the heat valve when calling for AC. The crazy valve was stuck open so was heating my cool air. I'm freezing now and still on R12, no leaks, no change.

totally, totally agree on shops you mentioned..
