Its definitely overkill!

Night and day sounds good, Hmmm. Really want something easy, 1 word.

Lazarus maybe changed to Blazeruss/BlazerSS?

I don't know. Its been progressing well. First real snag today. Gas tank sits too high with the Tanks Inc fuel pump assembly. And my factory LS3 exhaust manifolds didn't fit. The Holley/Hooker Blackheart manifolds look and fit nice.

Spend good money on a connect and cruise and you have to throw away the water pump, exhaust manifolds, and oil pan. They know these are going in swap vehicles why not let us order with the oil pan and front drive we want?

Do you know how much of a pain it is to safety wire bolts down in a valley? Not as neat as I would have liked and my OCD is killing me with the one set that I installed backwards. It is functional and nobody will see it. I still have 1 to do.

I've said that a few times over the years. I always wanted a 2 wheel drive Blazer. I now have a 2 wheel drive Blazer. It will be exactly like I want it (for the most part). I can't take it with me?

No big progress news. He had to finish up a couple of smaller projects and I do not have a problem with that. Body and paint guy won't be ready for 3 months or so.

The underneath of the tub is getting coated. Its not really an undercoating but will look better than the old oily undercoating is there.

Then finish the brakes and install the tires and wheels. It "should be a roller with the body mounted back to the frame permanently by the end of the week? Hydroboost should be in on Wednesday.

After this week it will be wiring, driveshaft, gauges?

Kind of looks good in there?

For the name.... 'Rusty' would work for me & be a good segue into the origins of the name.

Nice stuff for the chassis. I see you went w/the QA1 front arms/suspension & rear set-up. RedHead steering box. The TinWorks LS swap items & x-members. Holley Mid-Mount accessory set-up.

Not quite a year later & very nice foundation.

Thanks, the decision making process has been interesting to say the least. I did originally want to go with just springs, shocks and a mild lowering job. But I did want to go with decent brakes. Since I’m paying for labor I couldn’t see paying money to clean up old parts and doing some of the work twice so I ended up just going for broke. I am happy with the way the parts are fitting and things are coming together. We’ve only run into a couple of small issues and we are working them out now. Hoping to hear it run sometime this month. It should be able to move and stop under its own power at that time?

Many people don't understand this. Paying a labor rate for the actual time it takes to clean old/existing parts & then rebuild can cost you almost as much as simply purchasing new upgraded/updated items.

For your situation, that was a WISE choice.

Yes sir, just checked the invoice. I was looking for 255 but I guess they weren't available in the cheap tires I bought.

Some latest pictures

Not me driving but this is my rough ride height!

From the rear. I have an NOS tailgate to replace the louvered one. Unless I can remove the skin they welded on?

Looks nice on the bottom?

https://i.postimg.cc/T2Wb4rnw/IMG_20...656315_HDR.jpg

Not 100% happy with the exhaust! With the QA1 panhard bars the drivers side has to go lower than I wanted? For now I just want to get it into body work prison in a couple of weeks for about a year!

I am happy with the ride height. I hope I'll be happy with the ride quality!
