It is happening, but they are still far from affordable https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuati...1950s_American

Holly crap
I thought paying $3,500 was more than what it’s worth in 2015. 🙄

It can be a money pit, unless you have a specific direction; I know I went around a few times, thinking one thing, then shifting gears and going a different way.

I think I could still get what I put into the truck, if I decided to sell. It may take a while, but these trucks have become more popular and they do command a higher price nowadays. But, I’m talking Southern California, I’ll bet in other states, you could find better bargains.

Ain’t that the truth they CAN be money pits. I NEVER start a project till all my finances are secure. I usually have a number on the high side and double it and that’s usually right number when it’s all said and done. I’m think of having my truck body and paint done now. I have to find out how much I will have to pay 😱
😮

I was shocked, a few years ago I found a nice little 65 GMC 910 with a bbw and lwb. It was to be auctioned at a farm sale it was pretty good except for some minor rust, the bedwood was original as they used it to haul fuel and with diesel being constantly spilt on it preserved it. I couldn’t attend the auction so I bid 4600 as an absentee bidder, thinking it may fetch 2500 or so. I really wanted it! Much to my surprise it went for 6500. Yeah I guess they are moneypits but look at the fun were having.
