Back to this again. The problem is I should have looked at my steering wheel and those bushing looking retainers before putting the air bag back. It's a pain to remove them just to look. I found these two pictures showing both designs. I think what Speedy was talking about is the two bars that hold the retainers. Looking at the picture I see my style has the retainers connected on a bar and held using same hex screw from behind wheel. They probably just press into the wheel. Looks like I should have everything I need.
