Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
I been out of the garage for a while now with the bullsh!t we call weather in WI. I have managed a few small things to keep moving forward with spring in sight. I disconnected everything from the old driveline, so the old engine is just sitting there loose waiting for a nice weekend to come out and get this lq4 in its place. Did the dif fluid and cleaned the frame up a bit while i was in there with the bed floor out.
Then Mr Postman came with some more goodies; some fittings and taylor wires for the swap, and these big mothers; http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...IMAG0020-1.jpg They are waiting until the engine is in, but should make a huge difference on my car (manual brakes right now as well). |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Got my 4l80e painted up, and the lq4 cleaned up and waiting to go in.

Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
A very long weekend getting this done, but she is on the way. Heres the engine and trans ready to go
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/101_2318.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/101_2319.jpg I don't have any pics of the beginning of the fitment, but it was a very slow process getting that engine and big ol 4l80e in there without taking the front clip off. Its very doable, you just need a friend and some patience to guide it in. You MUST have a load leveler to get the right angle to get it in there. The angle of the trans coming in was pretty steep. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/101_2322.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/101_2320.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/101_2321.jpg Originally my engine sat on regular sbc mounts on the engine pedestals in the rear-most set of holes. This proved very difficult to reach the distro and rear plugs, so my motive with the lq4 was to move it forward some. Although you can move the mounts to the forward set of holes, the crossmember doesn't have a lower hole that matches up. I positioned the mounts where I liked them and drilled new lower holes. These are bigger than stock using grade 8 1/2" hardware (just to be safe). The upper point is being bolted into place, and then we are welding around the tab as well. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/101_2332.jpg Here is how the trans hange below the frame. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/101_2323.jpg And from the diff http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/101_2324.jpg And shes in http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/101_2327.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/101_2330.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/101_2329.jpg |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
UPDATE
Made a ton of progress and have a lot more pics to follow, right now I only have a few from my phone. Upper perches have been welded and smoothed. All of the front accessories are bolted back into place. I had to put a mall tweak into the frame (much line the "bump" on the passenger side) to clear the power steering hose. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0008.jpg I also found out that the ps pump I got was originally set up for a hydroboost truck, so I may put that into my plan in the future. My cam will be too much for vacuum brakes I imagine. Balancer is back on as well, along with the radiator and fan. HOW TO INSTALL THE BALANCER ON THE LSX MOTORS; If you don't have the service manual, or DO have it but got scared off when it started mentioning special tools...this may help. Its only a few steps, they aren't that hard, and you get a reusable tool out of the deal for less than $10. 1. Track down some threaded rod. You need about 10" of M16 x 2.0 threaded rod. Most home depot and Lowe's don't seem to carry metric threaded rod, as it's less common in home repair. I recommend Fastenal if you have on in your area. 2. Get a nut and spacer/stack on washers about 2-3" thick. I had the balancer with me and found washers that fit the center groove perfectly. Total Cost; $10.42, and thats ONLY because I bought a full 3ft of rod. This is the rod I cut down, compared to the stock balancer bolt. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0044.jpg 3. If you have some rust on the snout or inside of the balancer, use a little scotchbrite pad to clean it off. You can then use either anti seize or a little wd40 and put the balancer up onto the crank snout as centered as you can. 4. Insert the rod and begin to tighten the nut. this will pull the balancer inward and begin to tighten into place. Keep tightening until the balancer is seated flush into the seal. You can use the scrub marks on the balancer to see about how far in it needs to be tightened. I used an old belt and a straight edge to check that the balancer and accessories were properly in line. DON'T just use a straightedge against the face of the pulleys; the power steering pully has a wider lip and will set the balancer off center. 5. With the balancer fully seated, use the OLD bolt and tighten it to about 40lb/ft (37 to be exact, according to the manual). These bolts stretch and can't be re used for the FINAL installation. 6. Take the NEW balancer bolt and thread it into place. The final tightening should be down to 240lb/ft, but since many people wrenches don't go THAT far, just torque the sh!t out of it. Thats really all you need to do, just make sure to use a new bolt for the final installation and you're good to go. |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
I replaced my rubber hose for the fuel line with some stainless braided -6 and some nice aluminum fittings. I still need to hookup the last part of the return in the rear.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0001.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0002.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0003.jpg The wiring harness has been laid out and 95% of the connections have been made. I am getting some trailbalzer SS manifolds this weekend and then I can hookup the 02 sensors when they are in. While doing the harness, I found out I have the wrong alternator plug. Mine; http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0051.jpg Whats on my harness http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0049.jpg I made a quick email to FIC and Robert got a new pigtail in the mail for me. I also rubber mounted the pcm, mounted the fuse box and made a waterproof cover for it, and mounted the tac module. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0004.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0006.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0007.jpg I've made all the harness connections on those, along with mounting my OBD II port and hooking up my ScangaugeII. This weekend I should be getting my manifolds, and taking care of the radiator hoses and drive belt. After that its down to some final connections of the gas pedal, throw in a new driveshaft, and get ready for it to come to life. |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
looking good!!
it will be more pleasant to have warmer spring like temps!! we got a bit of a tease here last weekend with 80's this week hasnt been so bad i finally got my old 350 out, still more cleaning and some frame painting to do!! |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Really nice progress and truck!!

Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
I fitted up a lower radiator hose from a section of a different hose from the Napa shelf.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0009.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0064.jpg And I started to fit an upper hos, made from 2 sections of another hose. They will be joined with a section of stainless tube. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0063.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0010.jpg |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Got my tbss manifolds on saturday. Here they are with the shields.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0011.jpg no shields http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0014.jpg Fit awesome! Have to make a TINY trim on the frame rail for easier access to the outside flange bolt. Here they are, and a couple of clearance pics to the perch. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0017.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0021.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0019.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0022.jpg And I took a few minutes to start dismantling the dash for the custom gauges, and stripping un needed wires from the dash. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0023.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0024.jpg |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Had my new tach and OP gauges show up, as well as some switches I'll be using for the accessories (wipers/lights etc will be moved from the gauge bezel)
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0029.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0037.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0039.jpg Got behind the gauge cluster and started taking out all the old hardened and frayed wire. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0031.jpg And snagged my handy wiring cart from work. This makes running full lenghts of multi color and multi strand wire a dream http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0030.jpg And finished my stainless rad pipe. I still need to trim the hose ends better, but for now it looks pretty good, and was easier than finding a single rubber hose to make that run http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0032.jpg |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
your original guage pod looks real nice BR.
|
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Ya the original cluster is REALLY nice. It has the 1 year only double line temp gauge as well. I'm keeping it all together, I don't want to ruin such a nice peice. I'll probably throw it up for sale if anyone needs it. Everything still works on it, but the speedo was only tested with a drill (I never had it hooked up to my trans).
I've got some 20ga stainless and I'm making a new panel for the tach, op gauge, and my scangauge. That will pretty much be my whole cluster, as the scanguage will be my speedo, temp and volt gauge in one. |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Woot! Had some nice flanges cut out of 3/8 plate by a friend.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0043.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0044.jpg And picked up some other parts to make the downpipes and mount the o2 sensors. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0042.jpg The spark defoulers I was going to use for bungs didn't work (we need 18mm i they only had 15mm) so I'm waiting on regular weld in bungs from summit. The pipe fit up perfect, just need to weld it up. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0045.jpg And started trimming some 20ga stainless for the gauges cluster. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0046.jpg |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Picked up an ebay intake for a silverado. Cut it down a bit and modified a bracket, but she fits in pretty good. The 22* bend makes it perfectly over my upper rad hose, and angles the filter enough to keep it clear.

Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Got a little surprise this afternoon from my guys in the fab shop (hey having pro welders working for you makes being a ****ty welder myself easier). My exhaust stubs are done, so I can finish that up and pretty much have this thing ready to start, sans a driveshaft and the finish wiring.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0068.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0069.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0070.jpg |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
nice build
|
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Thanks Pops!
Painted the gauge surround http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0049.jpg Started making some exhaust gaskets. Since I had custom flanges made, they won't take the standard style donut gaskets (my flanges have no relief cut into them), I needed to make some. I found this stuff on summit, called Percy's Carbon XX gasket material. Some guys on a turbo forum had used it with good success, so I figured I'd give it a whirl. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0051.jpg Its a felt-like material with a metal sandwiched in between the layers. Its somewhat tough to cut but makes a pretty nice gasket when all is said and done, and due to its thickness it looks like it could absorb a good amount of imperfection in the flange surface. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0053.jpg And got my o2 sensors mounted into the pipes and connected to my harness. A bit tough to see in the angle of the picture, but theres plenty of clearance on both sides. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0054.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0055.jpg And another shot of the engine bay with my better camera, instead of on the cell. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0056.jpg |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
nice build! moving very fast through it!! you can send me your sbc motor since you updated yours, lol!!!

Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
haha thanks Chad. The old 355/700r4 combo is making its way into a co-workers g-body. His anemic smog-era 305 just wasn't doing the job anymore lol.
No pics from this weekend, just A LOT more wiring. It turns out my old fuse panel had melted a good portion of the original harness, and on top of the that the various retro-fits over the years and really messed things up. *Insert pic* We are ripping the entire thing out and starting from scratch. Fuel pump and rear lighting has all been handled. The headlights and dome light have been moved to 2 seperate dash mounted switches, removing the multi function switch from the dash, and the foot control. The wipers will also be moved to this same panel, so only the ignition will remain on the bezel. *insert pic* Running ALL new wires is a serious headache, but luckily I have some help. Mike (I have a picture of him doing some wiring here somewhere), is a 35yr veteran mechanic. He's currently a medium duty dodge truck senior mechanic, but used to work on anything (including military vehicles) for the military when he was living in soviet Russia. He has made sense out of this mess and is getting the wiring cleaned up so not only can we start the truck, but everything will be easily traceable and serviceable in the future. All new fuse panel in cab, all new wiring, fuses, grounds and more. Only a few select stock peices will remain. |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Just some small progress from the week.
Continued on the bezel http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0077.jpg I'm waiting for my seats to show up so I can mock up the dash with the column and seats all together for gauge positioning. That being said, the old column came out, and the new 5way tilt column showed up. I had to adapt some wiring, but it was fairly smooth going. I also put my old adapter and existing Grant wheel on the new column. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0079.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0076.jpg And I picked up my new custom shaft from A1 driveshaft here in Milwaukee. Made from .083 steel (I was told roughly 1/3 thicker than stock), and rated to upwards of 800hp. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0071.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0072.jpg I wanted to protect it from the elements...so paint was in order...and for whatever reason, I decided it was a good idea to Candy Cane my driveshaft. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0073.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0078.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0082.jpg No one is really going to see it anyway, but I had some free time (and beer) so I said screw it. |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
You always need a diversion from the tedious problem solving part of a build like this!
I've really enjoyed watching your build. These modern swaps really have me thinking.... dang, my current build isn't even done! |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
thanks man! The "candy cane" was just that. I was tired of wiring and thought I would do something a little goofy to take my mind off of it.
Tonight should be the final install of the now-dry candy cane driveshaft. Hopefully I should be able to get my oil bypass tapped for the pressure port, and get he nylon line run for the gauge. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0083.jpg SFTorange, your truck is lookin good as well. Love the big back window, sadly one option that my truck didn't get. |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
pulled the old bench out
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0060.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0061.jpg So i took the opportunity to do a little cleaning. The carpet needs a wash, but the rest vacuumed up well http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0063.jpg Now I could start to mock up the new Procar seats http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0064.jpg I plan to trim the rear inner panel to gain some room for the back rest http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0067.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0068.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0069.jpg And finally I was able to move forward with mockup of the gauge cluster. The scangauge is mounted from behind, on the bezel, and is taking care of the Speedo, temp, and voltage monitoring functions (as well as others available). This setup lets me keep a "race" style cluster with the tach as the focal point. I plan to add another gauge just to the left of the tach, to keep thing symetrical...but its tbd right now. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0070.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0072.jpg I still need to take it all back out to re polish the panel, and permanently affix it in the bezel. Hopefully more updates will come after some more work tommorow. |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
I headed down to the fab shop today and decided to start on some seat brackets. Grabbed some 1" square tube and made some 17 and 19 inch sections to make a square base.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0090.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0091.jpg And since all the good gear is at the shop, I used my favorite welder.. A 40 year old Union Carbide. I don't know why but I weld better with this that anything else. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0092.jpg Ant they fit right into place on the floor http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0094.jpg And presto, they are mounted and solid to the floor (used some 5/16 bolts and fender washers with nylocks to spread the load). http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0097.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0096.jpg I need to get some better pics, but I only had my phone at the time. |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
A pic of the seats with the better cam
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0074.jpg The gauge bezel and new gauges; I may add a CEL light but I'm not sure if it will end up on the cluster http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0075.jpg Did a couple coats of spray bedliner on the bedsides. I'll do this on the tubs and bed floor as well, but haven't fabbed them up as of yet., http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0079.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0080.jpg |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Ahhhhhh wiring!
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0081.jpg Started fabbing a bracket/mount for the dbw pedal. The heavy plate might be a bit much, but I wanted to make sure if I "pedal to the medal"...the pedal would stay mount. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0082.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0083.jpg Still need to do some test fitting before I clean up the corners and paint it up. The po was a short little bastard I guess, because the floor shifter location jammed the handle right up into my knee. Rather than pay B&M for a new shifter (since mine works fine), I decided to see if I could mod mine up, plus it allows me to make a larger "hot rod" shifter. Its not done yet, but the first step was to bend the aluminum shift rod outward so it would clear my leg. Bending the heavy aluminum is a *****, even with a large amount of heat. Luckily the 50 ton press at the shop makes it a bit easier. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0084.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0085.jpg Doesn't seem like much yet, but I'll have it finished later this weekend. |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Like they used to say on Monster Garage
FREEEEEBBBIEEEESSSSfreeeebbbiieessssssFREEEBIEESSSS Its not much, but our shop's welding supply rep hooked it up with a free set of shoulder wear, and apron. Gotta love comp'd stuff. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0100.jpg |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Its been a few since my last update, but I've been making some progress. Right now I'm just waiting to finish the last of the interior wiring for the cluster before installing it...the last step on my interior. My tuner should be coming over this week and she should be running!
My Epco knob came in, and I affixed it the the shift rod I bent earlier. I made 2 sizes, one that gives it a more "hot rod" feel, and another that is a bit shorter and more controlled. I'll be getting them both powder coated along with some other parts in another stage of the build. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0088.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0086.jpg I also picked up a new brake switch for the swap and got that installed. You need a new switch to hook up the TCC correctly; the stock switch is only a 2 terminal, while this replacement is a 4 terminals. I found it at napa part #SL186SB. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0094.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0091.jpg |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
While I was trying to paint the glovebox door trim, it snapped at a stress point.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0095.jpg I needed a replacement and figured the sheetmetal guys at the shop wouldn't mind a little extra work. They laser cut a replacement out of stainless, and decided i should rebadge it as in Isuzu. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0096.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0097.jpg MmmmShiny http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0098.jpg I also had them cut and fab up some tubs for me from 16ga, I had them make them a bit big so I could fine tune them down. I have them mocked up right now, gut they will be cut down almost 3" and trimmed inward near the same. But, for fun---> http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0104.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0103.jpg And my engine cover came as well, its the 3 piece Vortec Max cover. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0110.jpg We sanded her down, and with some creative masking we were able to paint it to match the rest of the under hood goodies. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0101.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/DSCN0102.jpg |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
The work put in looks really nice!
|
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
thanks 'rida
It was also time for that crappy intermediate shaft to go, and replaced with another new joint from CPP http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0103.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0104.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0105.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0106.jpg Tonight the wiring should be near complete (I've said that before tho!), and my tuner will now be coming over on friday for the "official" first startup and quick tune. Then its off to the dyno! |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Well at 8am this morning we woke the neighbors up with the sound of LS fury. The Lq4 lives! Big thanks to Tom from West Bend Dyno Tuning for coming out and helping me get it started.
Fullscreen vid (low def) http://www.youtube.com/v/g6JXFak4Qpk...bedded&version We did run into 1 issue. When I rev the engine, it goes fine, but after taht first rev the pedal loses communication with the engine. I get a U0107 fault. I'm going to look into this one this weekend. |
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Ok, I'm working on the video thing
|
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Good looking build man keep up the good work..
|
Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Thanks Frenchie!
Looks like my issue is the TAC module and pedal. I purchased an 06 (all plastic) set. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0021.jpg BUT because I'm running an 03 motor and 04 pcm (just found this out lol), I need to match the TAC and pedal. So an 03-05 pedal is in order. The newer style TAC uses 2 potentiometers to gauge position; one that reads 0-10v starting at 0, and the other reading 10-0v...starting at 10. This acts as a failsafe, but the extra signal confuses the older style TAC module. It sees the voltage change and triggers the u0107 code, putting the truck into limp mode. This is why is revs once, but immediately loses connection. A VERY nice member on ls1tech has agree to ship me the new pedal asap for my old one, so this problem should be solved shorty. I will post pics of the update soon. I have also started a fully welded header back 2.5" custom exhaust, with Flowmaster straight through "mufflers" **cough ** resonaters **cough** I have a little plan for the exit....but thats a surprise for now. |

A little more messing around, still just kind of putzing things around a bit to see how ideas might work.

Nice build man. I'm digging the LQ4.

Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq
Thanks man!
Got my new DBW pedal and tac from LS1Nova71, swapped over the connections and she fired right back up. Throttle response seems great, and she rev's freely! Looks like another lesson learned; having a matched TAC module and pedal, to the correct ecm is important. I'll post another vid after this weekend. These are some crappy phone pics of the new pedal installed on the fire wall. We had to modify the pedal; shortening it about 3 inches and changing the angle. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0118.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...y/IMAG0117.jpg Managed to install the gauge cluster, and just have 2 or 3 small connections to the fuse panel and she's done. I also cleaned up a little more loose wiring. This weekend should yield the finished rough fab on the exhaust, re-mount of the hood and possibly fenders....and if all goes well, the FIRST ROAD TEST! |
