Just finished installing the 2.5" CPP drop spindles with 1" drop springs. Upgraded the disks to slotted rotors and powder coated calipers. Very pleased with how it handles. Next weekend rear sway bar, shocks and new trac bar.

Nice work, I'm following your build cause I also have a 63 and the LT1/l460e that's sitting in my shop that's going in. But at this point I'm working on my wife's 66 that I have to finish first.

Re: 63 SWB C10 LT1/4L60E Swap
Worked on the inside of the bed sides. Had a little rust on one side where the wood bolts to bed. Cut out two pieces and bent them to the right radius.
What I started with. http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8b05b231.jpg Made this piece that goes new the rear corner. http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/...ps95acd0ee.jpg Cut this piece out and started to weld in the new piece and ran out of shielding gas for my mig. Finish next weekend. Kinda finished product. http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/...psb6794353.jpg Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 63 SWB C10 LT1/4L60E Swap
Looks nice, did you keep it from going into the bed, or how does it look from in the bed?

Re: 63 SWB C10 LT1/4L60E Swap
I had to take it into the bed. I have not worked on that part yet. On my last 66 I used a suburban bed panel and didn't need to enter the bed. I'll build around the setup and post pics. Here's what I have in the bed.
