I'd like to see a 3/16" or 1/4" thick ring at the bottom of the old spring pocket to spread the load of the coilover mount over such thin sheet metal.

Thanks. Thats the Viking shock CPP kit but the 550lb springs it came with were way too stiff so those are 350lb QA1s

Ive done this with A bodys that leave with the wheels up never had a problem

Absolutely.

But also..... for how long?

You don't have to do any of it, but from an engineering standpoint, that's a lot of point load on a relatively small surface area.

My El Camino is still running that same set up to this day just with a different owner ... that's over 12 years no issues.

That pic doesn't show good enough but mount on the coil over is actually wider then the flat surface of the control arm therefore distributing the weight across the old spring pocket

I was able to get a bit done last weekend, got the old trailing arm cross member out and the POL one in and the Moser trailing arms installed

Are you using the Fahler turbo manifold?

The timing of your post could not come at a better time as I am currently planning where to run components, and the hot side, for phase 2 of my build.

Looks nice snuggled in there.

Nice choice on the 4l80E. The Holly system you have, is it the one that will control the tranny also? I got that system and it is awesome! I got with a gentleman named Andrew from Missouri. He set my system up and it is awesome, just a note.

Yeah I got the Max. The Holley software is awesome I got a sniper on my other truck so easy to use.

Mac valve setup is in place and plumbed (waiting on a dome pressure sensor). Power steering delete alternator bracket works nicely

Over 40 years ago, I dragged a '56 Chevy 210 4 door wagon out of the desert. It looked like your pic above when I was done with it. I painted it, put in AC, upholstery, and a 305 SBC with a B&M trans in it. Wife wanted it gone, and I met her demand. :(
