Re: Lets see your Toolbox!
A few years ago built this shop inside the shop so to speak. Finally got the tools organized during an after Christmas sales at Sears.
By the way, the fact the bottom benches fit perfectly under the bench...pure accident of design. http://i957.photobucket.com/albums/a...ca/toolbox.jpg http://i957.photobucket.com/albums/a...a/toolbox1.jpg http://i957.photobucket.com/albums/a...a/toolbox3.jpg 3 years later the shop and shed is still a work in progress one dollar at a time. Probably always will be. ;) Mark:chevy: |

About as redneck as you can get. 2nd box usually stays on the truck, but I have a couple cord of firewood to haul tomorrow. I'm cleaning it out shortly.

Here are a couple of mine. The Craftsman started my tool fixation. I've had it for 25 years... it use to be full of tools to work on my BMX bikes :haha:
The Maximizer is covered up with stuff due to lack of Garage space :( |
Re: Lets see your Toolbox!
My junk. I got rid of the green one(too many thin drawers) and got a smaller box with deep drawers and put up some shelves.

Hey guys, this is a cool thread. I heard Jeff Foxworthy say "if your toolbox is worth more than your car you might be a red neck"
I"m pretty sure he was talking about me. here are a few pics of my Snap-On race box. it has 8" golfcart wheels and tires disk brakes and a big handle to pull it around. |

http://i56.tinypic.com/330d8a0.jpg My wife's and mine. Snap On KRSC31. It's the only one in Texas painted "Hammer Blue." Not sure what to do about those scratches...They were there when I got it. Can't get touch up paint for it unless I have it done custom. $$$$ Second: An old Waterloo I got for $20. I added my own custom touch with some of the emblems found inside. http://i28.tinypic.com/qx5i1c.jpg http://i29.tinypic.com/72a7va.jpg Third: My $1 Craftsman. :D I need to buy a bottom roll cab for this. http://i32.tinypic.com/106zngg.jpg And lastly, my road chest: A 1950s Kennedy 520 Machinists chest. http://i27.tinypic.com/vz7ksi.jpg Yeah, I really need to clean. |

That Classic 96 is the box i have been stashing up cash for a while now for. What I am currently using is a older Craftsman box similar to the tall black box in the far right of your first pic, only mine doesn't have a center box and I've got tools overflowing all over my shop. |

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!
I like the older box better and think new one is little over priced Sweet&long.

But I have to agree! This Toolwagon box I got is way over priced if you are paying retail! But if you are paying retail then you are getting screwed no matter what box it is. I didnt pay anywhere close to retail. Maybe divide retail in half and that is what I got in it. Yeah still an expensive box but it has everything I wanted. A Master series box, stainless top, hutch, and the side cabinets that hold TONS of stuff. And Now I have somewhere to put that high dollar master ball joint kit and slide hammer without taking up a whole drawer!! hahah lata CHRIS |

Here's mine in serious need of cleaning. ;)
I bought the one on the right 20 years ago and it was old then  I paid a $1000. for it and remember telling the guy that's a lot of money for an empty tool box. He said look inside. It was full of Snap-on, Mac, etc tools. I was happy, he even let me make payments. The one on the left was bought one piece at a time. I got the top box from a swap meet for $250.00 and the bottom in pieces and badly faded, but it was free. I had it assembled and cleaned in three hours. :) The friend who gave it to me couldn't believe it was the same box. I repaid his generosity by fixing his truck. I'm trying to find a center section for the larger box. My son is quite the smart guy, he sometimes buys me tools and I said that was nice of you. His reply was their going to mine some day anyways. |
Re: Lets see your Toolbox!
Picked up this itty bitty thing yesterday. Glad I was the 1st person he asked.... the guy was getting out of the business and it was a price that one couldnt refuse.
