Here's my '64, with the paintjob from the previous owner... still not dropped... still has the granny-first Muncie... still keeps the garage floor lubricated. It looks like a garage/backyard application that needs buffing, and I'm going to see if my Porter-Cable 2474 can do anything to make it smoother. http://www.javadocs.net/pix/java64stepside/64step-1.jpg http://www.javadocs.net/pix/java64stepside/64step-2.jpg http://www.javadocs.net/pix/java64stepside/64step-3.jpg |

Re: two tone paint picture thread
HEY! That photo shop of the 63 is bad azz. but I think the yellow pin stripe on that part of the bed would be hard to pull off.

Re: two tone paint picture thread
These are the only pics I have...does the very top of the roof (being white) consider it a two-tone ??

Love the stepside job you did there. Could you try that with Orange instead of black on the bottom, and a black stripe seperating the two? I think that's how I want to do my truck..... Thanks. |
Re: two tone paint picture thread
Frizzlefry-
I agree - your PhotoChop pic is the ONLY one doing something creative with 2-tone on a stepside bed (very cool - I saved it to my truck pics folder for down the road). Anybody else have something original with stepside treatment? |

hey thats my truck! it was about 3 years ago, after I first purchased it I came up with that scheme and I paid Zumo (aka: Andy) to complete a rendering for it incorporating the color scheme of my harley Here is Andy holding it up for me to see on one of the proofs and one of when we were kinda getting a basic concept. and the truck when I bought it, my harley and Zumo's(andys) rendering Too cool thanks Frizzle, I had forgot about those pics until I saw this thread, of course I dont have the stepside bed anymore, but the concept would be cool if some one pulled it off. |

Original 12,383 mile truck. Only thing not original is the mirror. Crappy cell phone pictures. Sorry. More to come. Just picked her out of storage last Thursday!

My wife helped him a lot at the farm and he told her when he dies the truck was hers. Thank god her dad said "wait until you are older". It stayed with dad until his death 4 years ago. He mostly took it to car shows and to the A&W on Saturdays. We just had it delivered last week to our home from the polebarn where it was kept. It had the original plastic covers on the bench seat but somebody, sister or mom took it off!!!! We have all original sales receipts, manuals and 1966 Chevy sales flyer for C series trucks. The original "protec a plate" is still affixed to the manual with the sales reps signature. It has a 283/2 brl "3 on the tree". I drained the tank removed the old fuel from the lines, changed oil, filter, plugs. Filled it up with fresh gas and bang she fired right up. Little white smoke from moisture at first and a hole in the exhaust but it purrs like a kitten. Brakes need to be bled and gone through. I will be posting more photos (from my good camera) after I give it a good once over. Engine compartment is filthy. It not perfect but it is a survivor in it's original form. |
Re: two tone paint picture thread
could be the purest 60's truck i've ever seen. please do your best to keep it as original as possible, its a piece of history!
