I like the color too -- look at it just right and it has a purple hue to the blue. Looks flat gorgeous in morning and afternoon light. Sheepishly, I must admit, I purchased this baby with most of the work done. Since I've had it (about three months) I tore out the old wood bed (was already 25 percent gone) and installed a new steering gear. That was a real challenge since power steering system is not original equipment. As well, the side mirror came with it. I was trying to find out if there was a way to track down who this was built for. I was told by the owner his dad bought it at an Army auction. I am trying to find out what unit it was with so I can take it back OD Green w/ the black stars on the doors and I'd like to put the original unit numbers back on the bumper.
