Re: one piece door glass
What does it take to install this kit. Do I need to cut through the outside of my door? I couldn't bring myself to cut up fresh paint, inside or out.

Re: one piece door glass
Man, that looks good. I was afraid it would have the filler piece also. I wouldn't like it with it but it looks a hundred times better without the vent window. To me, the vent windows are nothing but air suckers. I never open mine and would love to have them gone.
When more pics become available and I can really see how everything looks, I may start thinking more about them in my truck. It's really exciting to see new innovations come around us. |
Re: one piece door glass

Re: one piece door glass
JC, I beleive you guys are pretty smart to pay as a advertiser here on the board. I beleive you will find a huge following on the kit as they become available. Thanks Eric

Re: one piece door glass
Brother's looks like a hit , their website looks Super now ! These kits are a welcome addition to their other fine parts and accessories .

Re: one piece door glass
Figures...right after I break down and buy SPAL power window kit, new felts, gaskets, and a set of NOS brand new vent windows....this comes out.
Anybody in the market for all this to offset my cost on the one piece kit? :o |
Re: one piece door glass
id still like to know how easy it is to install. has anything been said about that? i replaced all the window felts and stuff last year wasn't too bad but will that much bigger of a glass just slide right in?
|
Re: one piece door glass
I am having a hard time with doing the factory replacements...my glass is kinda scratchy, needs ALL new felt and rubber trim and the wings are rusty. :( I could easily spend that much on all new parts....or just do it this way lol. Then I gotta put it in! yay! haaha. Decisions decisions!
Might have to start saving up |
Re: one piece door glass

I gotta admit when I first saw the pic, I thought I saw leaves up against the headliner. It had me wondering ... When these one-pieces came out, I was hoping that they would have a 'tint' version. At the least, I was hoping that a new and improved window regulator would be offered. (May need to buy new ones along with the kit.) Regardless, nice offer in refinement. Now, how 'bout a flushed-mounted windshield 'kit' and a flush-mounted back window 'kit'? ;) Oh, and I've heard this cardboard-engineered kit is included with the one-piece deal. ;) |
Re: one piece door glass
That really looks great. I would be interested in this, just
need to come up with the money. I need to replace almost all the seals/molding around my windows and some brackets. This probably wouldn't cost too much more then doing it the original way (with good parts). I am interesting in more pictures and installation instructions. |
