Do you have an AC center vent for a 64-66 C10? If so, any pics and how much shipped to 36507? BTW, your PM box is full. Thanks, Tim |
'63-'66 Chevy factory AC dash diffuser
2 Attachment(s)
Here are a few pictures of the factory AC dash diffuser I have. I will send you a PM with price. Thanks for the heads-up about my mailbox beingfull.
Let me know if I can help you with this part or other 4-5-6 Chevy Truck parts in the future. |
Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Truck parts
This is probably a silly question but is there a piece that attaches to the rear of this that actually directs the air to each vent? If there is do you have this piece also or maybe a pic of what it might look like?

'60-'66 factory AC sytem
Quote:
The factory AC setup for these trucks is rather extensive. There is a plastic plenum box, including the three dash control knobs and bezels, that backs up the AC dash diffuser, as well as, an underdash heater box diverter assembly, that is located under the dash, as well as a compressor, condenser, air dryer, brackets, hoses, hardware and wiring harness, that is required to make a factory system complete. I have a complete assembly, if you are interested. Let me know your thoughts and I will proceed accordingly. |
Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Truck parts
Tony,
What I'm planning is to go with an aftermarket AC (haven't decided which brand yet) but I want to use an original center diffuser for the "factory" look. I just don't like the way the aftermarket vents look. I guess I'm just trying to get a mental idea/picture of what it will take to make this happen and any additional parts that I may need besides the diffuser. Thanks for the quick responses and I will get back to you soon on the diffuser panel. Thanks, Tim |
Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Truck parts
could i get a price on a hood new or used, rust free
thanks, L Zember |
Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Truck parts
A good, used, rust-free hood shell is $200.00, plus $175.00 to crate and ship. Due to weight, size and bulk, shipping a hood is not very economical.

Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Truck parts
How about a good fleetside tailgate and shipping to 75468?

Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Truck parts
Hey LILRED, do you have a posi unit for my 65' 12 bolt?
Thanks, |
Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Truck parts
ron19:
I have several '64-'66 Chevy 12 bolt rearends, however I don't know if any of them are posi-traction. With the cost of shipping, it is not economical to ship, so you may be better off finding one locally. Sorry I couldn't help you, but please keep me in mind for other 4-5-6 Chevy Truck parts in the future. |
Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Truck parts
Actually, I wouldn't want the whole rearend, just the carrier with the posi unit. But that would involve a bit to pull the unit out and then ship. I understand if you don't want to go that far with it.
Thanks for all your advice, it does help. |

Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Truck parts
got any gauge clusters? I mainly need the part with the printed circuit. This is for a 62, as the 60-63 printed circuits have a lot of problems by design. I was told the 64-66 units were interchangeable, so I assume that means just the rear piece. Might need a fuel gauge also, have to troubleshoot that some more though.
Thanks! Chuck |
