WOW!
I love the longbed. Did a member get it?
Congrats again,... I just got my magazine yesterday.
Your blue and white swb has been a board favorite of mine for a long time.

No, I sold it to someone just south of Denver, they said they did paint and body for a living, it was a good truck for someone in that profession, that was about all it needed. I needed a quick sale so I sold it for $4500 in '04.

Thanks for your compliments, I'd trade you for your Blazer in a heartbeat though!

I'd like to take advantage of you being in a "trading mood",... but I think I will die with the blazer. Everything else,... has a price.
What did you do "suspension wise" on your old long bed. It sets good!
Also what year was it?. I like the 71-72 grill with the 67-70 smooth front bumper.

Nate, here's a pic of the longbed-

The wheels on it are the ones I traded for my truck. It had a semi custom interior and a 468BB. I ended up only using part of the money I got from it for my trans, the rest needed to go to our wedding, not the wife's decision, but mine.

Thanks for posting that pic Chris. Your old LWB was a pretty sweet truck, and it looks like a steal @ $4500. I think you definitely got the better end of the trade, when you traded the wheels! :D

The longbed in post #40 is the one he sold. The blue/white one in his avatar is the one that was in the magazine and the one he has now :D

I don't blame you a bit for hanging on to the Blazer!

My old truck was a '72, actually it was a factory BB Highlander. I bagged it before there were kits on the market for these trucks(that I knew of). It had ECE spindles, firestone bags, and custom made upper plates and lower cups with Toxic shocks on the front. Aired out the tires sat on the inner fenders.
The rear had a custom C-notch, ECE piston style bags(overpriced, but they ride way nice), ECE Super Track Bar, 2'' lowering blocks and toxic shocks. When it was aired out the diff touched the underside of the bed, it was a big notch. The system was controlled by an Air Ride Technologies four way system.

Any plans for bags on the two trucks you have now?

I think I'm going to keep my truck static, but we have tossed around the idea of bagging the wife's.

I think your wifes truck would look sweet with bags and a set of Radir Wheels.
I want a set of satin Radirs for my '69 swb.

I like it, I'll have to run that by her.

'70 GMC, the wife isn't a member, but I told her she should join.

Powell 72, I tip my hat to you for two reasons. 1) Having some nice trucks featured in a mag. 2) Finding a wife cool enough to drive old trucks with character. Still working on my wife to get behind the wheel of my 68, but no luck as of yet. I am really digging the green wheels your wife's truck has and was wondering what trims rings are on them. I have an orange truck and am considering a dark smoke gray on my rallyes, and I think the trim rings she has look really classy. Where did you get them?

Re: Powells pickups hit Classic Trucks!

Thanks Josh, the dark grey on orange sounds like a great color combo. The trim rings on the wife's truck are some thin rings with ribs on them she picked up at a swap meet for $20, so I really don't know to much about them.
