Haha, at the moment I'm like yourself, in Moose Jaw. The truck isn't here, however, as it's in winter storage.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Thanks, Purrs really nice and sounds even better when you give it some gas. PO had them under the cab and you could not hear anything, I always get comments on how good it sounds and its quiet in the cab too.

my '62 before air ride. Its tough to tell in the picture, but ride height was 2 1/2" at the rocker. It was dropped as far as it would go and channeled (body-dropped) three inches.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Sick '62, Imperial! I really dig those flipper caps...

The hubcaps on my truck are the "Hollywood Flipper" caps. you can get 'em from Moon.
Hey badbowtie, what has been done to your truck to get so low static? |
Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Yeah i am also wondering what badbowtie has for a drop! What is everyone doing for a c-notch? just a custom notch?

here is my 64 stepside... i am guessing front is 2.5 spindles, and maybe 1" coils, and rear 4" coils... i am in the progress right now of cutting up some extra springs i have to get another inch or two lower in the front and gonna do 2" blocks in the rear tomorrow!

[QUOTE=CLASICK;3213783]Yeah the tires were on the truck when i bought it and they are grinded but i am looking at getting some brand new tires with really nice white walls! The ones are the truck are ok but some nice bright white ones would me the truck look even better
Use some Comet or Ajax and a scrub brush...the whites will brighten up. |
Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Screw scrubbing your whitewalls!!! That's too much work! Just get some Westley's Bleche white. Spray it on, let it sit for about 30 seconds and rinse. Nothing gets whites whiter.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
clasick - real nice man! what rims are those?
|
Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
any pics of your interior?
|
Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
CLASICK's wheels look like rally's to me.
|
Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
what i was thinking, but what are the centers from?
|
Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
those are corvette style rallys
|
Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
They look like the Derby caps. Hey, Hard luck, what size bullet cones are those and where'd ya get 'em? I need some for the smoothies on my truck. I don't want to run the baby moon caps or the bullets. I like the exposed lug nuts so I just want a set of cones.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
nice stance daveodom!
Is anyone having problems with 3" drop coils for the front when running drop spindles also? Any problems of the 3" coils falling out of place when the truck is lifted up or anything? |
Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Yeah, it happens every time....jack it up under the a-arms. Or are you catching air when youre driving to work:lol:?
|
Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
neither but i did cut some springs down and that is what happened so i was wondering if i was gonna have the same problem if i order up some 3" drop coils... my 64 c10 is pretty high compared to my other trucks... i have a 08 tacoma x-runner with a big drop and a bagged mazda pickup so just trying to think of ways to get it lower before i end up bagging the c10... but dont want to have problems with the springs falling out of place all the time...
|
Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
I thought it was great..you can install 3'' springs and not even tear apart the balljoints:lol:. When you start getting this low, you have to drive up on blocks and jack up under a-arms to keep the springs in place. I can also bounce my truck and the srings usually pop back into place....the price of looking cool:smoke:.
