Here is a pic of the engine, everything installed and running except the air box, and exhaust.

Used the stock rad and a pair of dual fans from a k-car.

The thing sounds and runs great. I got too excited to remember to take a video.

Is it road worthy yet? Real interested in that gas tank. How many gallons? Has it worked out for you? Where did you buy it? Enquiring minds want to know! Mine was on the road, until I decided to do one of those so called complete truck makeovers. Gutted out the cancer yesterday on passenger side. Hope you like the new powerplant. I do.

Sorry for the delays. I have been out of state for a while.

The tank is from an 02 Camaro SS. I was told that 2000-2002 all used these plastic tanks. It fits really well, but is only around 16 gallons according to my quick measurements.

I trimmed about 1 inch from the inside of the bottom flange of the frame on each side. I made stainless straps for mounting, and moved the rearmost frame cross brace back a few inches and welded it in place.

Thanks for the info on the tank! you say only 16 gallons but at 18-20 mpg, that should give pretty good range. For me in my 4.8 that would give me about 8 days daily driving. ;):chevy:

Thanks for the info on the tank. I guess i'll have to pass on that one. Cant trim my frame because I have a frame mounted hitch, and one inch from each side would probably leave my a$$ sitting on the interstate the first bump I'd hit towing the trailer. Got me excited though. Nice build also.

I am also wondering what wiring harness you used. A modified stock one or a custom
one?
thx
