329-740-29310 is what it says on the invoice. I'll post pics when they get here. They're supposed to arrive on Friday.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

That part number says they are for a small block chevy

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

You're right. I just called FedEx and had them turn the shipment around to Jegs. softballnrd27, I owe you a beer. You probably just saved me 40-50 bucks in shipping that I would have had to pay if they had gotten all the way to my house. Thank You!

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Not a problem, I was going to get the steps too but when I looked at the part number it was SBC not LS. I have only been able to fnd the 67-69 part number but I don't know if they will fit or not. Good thing is that I have 6 months to wait.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

several stepped ones are available for a sbc. Dynatech's available LSx headers are not stepped, and not painted...they come coated only, and for $399. Dynatech's SuperMaxx series for new/newish factory LSx powered cars is also available but they start at like $859!

Part#'s from the Dynatech 2001 catalog for '70-'81 Camaro are:
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header- #715-29410 w/3" reducers
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header - #715-19410 w/2.5" reducers

Part#'s from the Dynatech 2001 catalog for '67-'69 Camaro are:
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header- #715-21410 w/3" reducers
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header - #715-11410 w/2.5" reducers

Part#'s from the Dynatech 2001 catalog for '68-'74 Nova (same as 1st gen Camaro?)are:
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header- #715-21410 w/3" reducers
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header - #715-11410 w/2.5" reducers

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

The problem is that Speedway Motors is out of the 70-81 Camaro swap headers and the only other place I can find them is Jegs for $719. Do you know of anywhere else that has them for $399?

68GMCCustom 03-31-2011 11:01 PM

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Summit sells them for $399 and lists a 4/13 ship date if bought today.

from underneath, (sticking a tape up from the bottom) it looks like 18.5" - 19" max.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Thanks, thats would put me flush with the bottom of my frame rails if measured from the top of the exhaust ports.

Did I read you were interested in selling them?

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

I will be....when I can afford to buy a set of the DT large tube 67-72 LSx headers (they fit better with my long range plans) I'll be selling these Dynatech's.... unless I buy something else to put them on.

big shoe, if you have a raised crossmember or [dropmember] they will hang 1.5" below the frame. The only way I can see around that is to open the tunnel up to decrease the angle. My output shaft angle is at 3 deg. down & the trans is pretty tight. The headers are first rate anyhow.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

here's how they look on a stock truck w/engine at roughly normal (for an LSx) height.

http://www.lsxtruck.com/gallery/albu...l_IMG_1506.jpg

I plan on a complete coil over IFS at some point...meaning I'll probably need the clearance the DT's provide.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Your welcome,my clips off so if you need any measurements or pics let me know.I was sceptical about purchasing them at first because of ground clearance issues until i found that they are higher up than my pan.Just something to consider

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

I can't seem to find the headers 68gmccustom used does anyone know the difference in the 67-69 camaro ones? I really wanted to use these but summit's website says not available.

BigShoe24 01-14-2012 09:53 PM

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Mac, they are higher than your pan? How tall is you pan?

dkauffman05 01-14-2012 10:00 PM

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Found the 715-19410 and the 715-29410 both thinking about the first ones due to only having a stock 5.3 and the smaller tubes might give me more room.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Ok, so the DT Big Tubes don't fit. Passenger side hits on the firewall bad. I'm placing to links below, could you confirm 68GMC these are what your running?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DTC-715-29410/

http://www.dynatechheaders.com/m_camaro_70_81.html

Might have to click on LSX on the second link.

Thanks

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

those on the Dynatech page look like the ones but it appears they changed the part number as they were 115-909400 (30C) when I bought. Also they're not stepped, just straight 1 7/8" primaries x 3" collectors. The Summit pics show stepped and #5 cylinder passing over behind #7....unlike Dynatech's pic.

can't BigShoe....notice our posts above were changed with some words deleted? I guess maybe so, since now it shows you as Premium. I did that for a few years until I felt the site was large enough to support itself.....now I refuse to.

sorry.

dkauffman, really? I called and emailed and didn't get a response. I am always dumbfounded why more manufactures don't sale direct. I just hope get what I ordered and they fit!

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

They got here today. I ordered 715-19410 from sumit and they were drop shipped from dynatech in 2 days. Summits website says $55 to ship them and I asked my salesman about that and it was wrong it was only $9.50.

Has anyone tried the 70-81 or 67-69 camaro dynatechs on a squarebody? I tried a set of pacesetter headers for a 98-02 F-Body and they didn't fit at all on the driver's side.
