Call these guys: http://www.dieselfixer.com/
My suburban has one of their engines in it, 32000 miles on it and still like new, no loss of power. Trust me, well worth the money. |
Re: thoughts on this.

|
Re: thoughts on this.
91 Suburban if diesel has no computer, if gas, has a computer.

Lol, I got my 6.5 with a whole 1995 G3500 Vandura wrapped around it for $500. Seeing this thread, not sure if I got a good deal, or not.
I say just keep looking. I ran into mine out of the blue... As far as what you need, as long as you have the complete engine, and the matching transmission you are good to go. The only real wires going to the engine are to the starter, the glow plug controller, IP shut off, the AC compressor if you have one, and the alternator. A factory tray can be cut to work on the opposite side, and the cables are easy enough to make with a torch, flux, and solder. Scroll down for a modded tray. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=434087&page=2 |

I think the option of getting that 91 suburban with the diesel in it would be a great idea though. Take everything out of it that you want / need for your own conversion for your dually, and then put all your gasser stuff from the dually into the suburban. Then sell the 'burb. At the very least, you should come out even, if not on top a little. |
Re: thoughts on this.
hmmmmm may be able to get that 91 as etest exempt then.....

Re: thoughts on this.
Get a 2wd NV4500, you can then mate it to a NP205 t-case.
