I could of mounted it there but the hose's would of been facing down though the bottom of the Floor, The AC Pipes would off been ok because I can get Fittings to turn them Up , but there wasn't much I could do with the Heater Hose's,.

Re: Aussie 78 Stepside
Looks really good walka. Who did the mods on your drag link ? Are you getting the truck engineered for the conversion ? Also is the factory RHD dash plastic or fibreglass still ?
|
Re: Aussie 78 Stepside
Yes it is going to be Engineered, Russell from Wolington is looking after that side of it and he is happy with it all so far. Got the Steering Box and Drag Link with Report from Nevile from Hamlton. The Factory Dash is a Thicker Fiberglass than the Aftermarket one that I got first

Re: Aussie 78 Stepside
Hi walka from another Aussie
Fantastic pics of your build. I have just started a build on a 1976 short bed and will start a thread soon. I am converting it to RHD as well but I have chosen to build an all steel dash by cutting up a U.S. one and remaking it. A lot of work but should be worth it in the end. i am based in Shepparton Victoria and have a mate who has a shortbed 79 that is painted butternut yellow. Cheers Peter |
