Yeah I'm going to probably get my bench seat re-done as well but I'm also looking into getting some low back bucket seats too but that isn't a for sure said and done thing.

Its going to look good man!!

I just saw your quote I like it! :metal:

I would like to do bucket seats but I have 2 small sons so I am going to keep the bench seat so we can ride around together. Thanks man, long road ahead but eventually it will be done.

I third a brown paint job, but that darker color is not one of my favorites. You could have some fun with the paint and two-tone it differently like this one (belongs to a user on here)

I've seen several people on this forum with these wheels. I wanted the Foose rims but can't see spending the extra 500$ for a rim that looks almost exactly the same.

I got some ideas sketched out for my bench seat and for a custom emblem for the tailgate of the truck. The bench seat will be a combo of black vinyl and gray cloth. My plan is to have the portion with the stitched lines the gray cloth and the rest wrapped in the black vinyl. I sent the idea for the emblem to Billet Badges to see if they can make it for me. What you think?

77ChevySharkBite 05-22-2013 03:03 PM

Re: Project Platinum C10

That should look siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!!!!!!

the tail gate emblem is different haven't heard of anyone wanting to do that but I'm sure it'll look sick!!

I like the ideas it'll look sick!

What made you chose the theme Platinum, I hadn't ever thought about it and it's really creative!

Back in early 2000 I bought a Ford f250 and they had a platinum edition that I loved with this paint scheme. I've loved it ever since and when I bought this square I knew how I wanted to paint it.

I was wondering if that was the motive behind it, they were definitely a beautiful truck the newer models are not all that. Got to say it's a great paint scheme to have chosen! :metal:

Took the factory grill off yesterday evening to clean and paint it. I'm hoping the paint shop can paint the brown line going down the center of the grille. I need to replace the headlight but it actually still shines bright! lol

lol  Somehow it got water condensation on the inside of the lens. It is actually clean on the outside!

Re: Project Platinum C10

nice!!! kind of makes you wonder how water got on the inside though. But I know the slightest opening can cause it.

I'm not sure if you're interested in it, but I know Autozone has some big mirrors for sale of course there not the metal like our old ones were but they fit good. Just a suggestion

This is the item I purchased. Not a bad deal. The mirrors looked great but the glass was broke on one.

I called DJM Friday and they said that it will take a week or so to ship to me from California. I'll be out of town Friday until Monday so I will do it sometime next week or week end. I would love the help and appreciate your offer!

I'll be home from work in a few hours but I only have 1 week off this time. Then I go back for 3 weeks. Depending on my schedule I wouldn't mind at all if the timing works out

Haha, nothing has happened really. Waiting on the lowering kit to come in from DJM and sending the mirrors back because one came in broken. I am contemplating about pulling the engine to change gaskets, cam bearings, etc..... It would be a great time to clean the engine compartment and clean the engine up also. The engine is a stock 4.1 L inline 6 so I hate to put much time and money in it. I plan on running this engine until it blows because it runs really good right now....
