The link to my build is in my signature... its called "Sinister" .... Last page has the hood and my dash... I am working in a pinhead account. I havent really taken pics of all my practice work on glass. Most of it has been tracing basicly. getting both sides even is my biggest problem with freehand stuff. I have only been doing it a couple months and dont have enyone to learn from other that youtube. LOL |
Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
Sweet! I've been looking for a build thread on this truck ever since I saw pics in another thread. Cool story and similar to mine. I'm currently building my red '67 as a tribute to my grandfather and his trucking company.
Truck looks great man. How did you do your air ride? |
Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
Glad to see this build thread, you may not remember but I bothered you a while back when I PM'ed ya asking for pics and info about your truck.
One of my favorite C-10's! |

Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
Picked up a tach dash on Craigslist, restored it and threw it in.

Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
I finally got tired of bottoming out my headers and control arms so I took a the air ride set up I had set aside for another project and put it on the truck. First step was to pull the bed off and figure out where to hide everything.

Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
I designed an "air management shelf" and had my buddy cut it out for me and began fitting the pieces together.

Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
I didn't want to cut up the bed on this one so I want with Porterbuilt's C-notch and shock mount bar.

Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
Since I did all this I decided to have the rear wheels widened at Hot Rods by Boyd.

Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
Since the bed was already off I also added a Boyd's Welding tank with a custom filler.

Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
Next step was to pull it all back apart and paint everything.

Great work on this one. I really like the mounting system you made for the air ride stuff. Looks supper clean and organized.

Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
I really like the direction your truck is going in. It's nice to see some people building clean LWB trucks! If you don't mind me asking, Where did you get the metal radio panel in post #39?

Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
Picked up this old gas can at the Portland swap meet which just happened to match the paint perfectly.http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...psjilpqaps.jpg

Re: Williams Plumbing 67 C10
Decided to use the gas can as my filler point for the tank I had put under the bed.
