The insurance lots for the damage vehicles in N.J. were so full they had to bring something like 55,000 and use the parking lot of OLD BRIDGE Englishtown Racway Park. (E-Town). Any old vehicle which I hear not many, could be clean up if done right away (gut-ted) and saved , not like the new stuff with all the B-S in them. And yes car dealers got busted trying to sell damage ones, the used car dealer up the road from me for one got busted, who knows how many went were in the country.

There is a small lot in Union Beach on Rt. 36 filled with storm damaged cars still.

From Randolph myself.

No truck yet, but I've been looking around for a '67 or '68 C10, and I've been noticing a lot more old Chevy's and GMCs since. There's a service station in Dover that has an orange 68 GMC as a plow truck.

GearsFC3S, "Go West young man". Hard to find them around here that aren't rusted to sh&t. Easy enough to ship from the dry desert. West-to-east shipments are going for a bargain these days, says my broker, owing to the ongoing exodus of Sandy salvage.

I see that one all the time Gears. He has had that one for a while. Just down 46 in Mine Hill there is a K20 at a used car lot. The owner of the lot uses it as his plow truck. Looks like a recent repaint in green. Has a GMC nose and a Chevy bed. Looks like a really nice truck. There is a blue 71 long bed 4WD behind a garage on Franklin Ave near the entrance for Morris Knolls HS too. Go bang on the door!

Yeah I have been looking nationwide. Found a few nice ones too, but can't actually buy one just yet since I'm unemployed at the moment.

How about at the Englishtown Swap Meet?

Hey, South Jersey guys, anyone know of a media blasting shop in Burlington/Camden/Mercer counties? My internet searches are all turning up stuff in Pennsy. Time to get started on the 50.

Hey Guys!

I'm in Sussex County...work in Bloomingdale. It would be cool to get together this Summer some time! Here's my '72...it's getting a new crate engine, as soon as it warms up a little!

I appreciate the referral Flthead but Brick is a bit far from me. The firms I found in PA are actually closer to me.

Anyone know of any media blasters between say Florence and Glassboro along the 295 corridor?

I am in new milford by Hackensack. not west milford as everyone mistakes it with. I have a 71 c20 my girl has a 71 k20. and i own that cheap 71 longhorn you posted the craigslist ad for. going to be tearing into it soon. I wanted it to go to someone who would restore it but it needed a bed so I found a bed for it and now am going to get it on the road. I promised the old man I got it from I would find it a proper home if I didn't keep it. I cant wait to drive it to his house when I get it done in the next few months I think he may cry. it sat in his driveway for 10 years before I got it and to see it at least running and driving will make his day.

bigrigpardo, I'm glad you are going to fix up that longhorn. It has tons of potential.

I just like the fact that its a true one ton and not just another 3/4ton. if someone had said they would restore it I would have let it go but everyones first words from the ad were I need a cheap parts truck and this was too odd and cool to cut up for someones plan jane c10 project. if you guys set up a meet me and my girl would be there with our trucks. may even get my friend to come with his long step

Boyz - (and any gurlz too) - Englishtown swap meet is 4/11-13. I plan to be there on Sat 4/12. Should we set a meetup for the NJ board members?

Bigrig Pardo I'm still planning on my trip to Demarest. Maybe this Sat. Or I may go down to the Salem Swap Meet - anyone going there?

Englishtown is closer to me than Woodstown... I might consider that instead. My truck is in parts in my garage right now, so I won't be taking it anywhere either. Hoping to get it looking like a truck again sometime this year.
