Mine has serious rust in the torque box. It needs to be rebuilt. I set mine a Crown Victoria frame w/4.6L

The torque box has been re boxed as well as everything I cut out and the torque box has a raised section so the drive shaft will clear.

I have not done much to the bed at this point other than cutting it out where I had to it will get a full floor and side panels ect further down the road.

Also the truck was pretty rusty both steps were rotted out and the driver and passenger side floor where the body mounts mount were gone. Also the back floor seat mounts had to be fixed they were rusted out.pic is kinda crappy.

Looks to be in great shape with good patina. Nice find.

A friend of mine bought one recently and then saw one in a yard. That one he was able to haul off for free. Unfortunately both are quite rusty.

Really dig these unibodies. A neighbor down the street where I grew up did one when he was 16, it had been his dad's work truck for years.

This one is looking good, you are doing a great job!

I was looking through ebay adds like 8 years ago for a short bed 2000 ford to do and came across a 62 unibody ford and was like I did not even know they were made so I thought to my self if I get an older truck that is what it will be fast forward 7 years late and I finally picked one up lol.

Thanks for the compliment.

I had an issue of the top ball joint and spinal hitting the bags in the front when 3/4 way up.So I recessed the frame and made my own frame mounted bag brackets so it lifts higher and does not rub now full up.Also made a channel for the tire rods as they hit all the way down now it will turn all the way down.

Wanted to tie in the bottom cross to the inside of the frame so I made these gussets.

I also wanted to sturdy up the rear arm mount to the frame and not just the cross its self so I made these gussets and because I cut out the frame or the bags. Now I cam move onto the shocks.
