I attempted to replace the bushings on the trailing arms today. Part way thru that job I decided removing the rear end would make the rest of the work I needed to do easier. The trailing arms are rusted and beat up, so I'm thinking a new set may be needed.

I haven't had much time to work on our trucks the past 2 months, but I still have some updates to share. My brother decided the 68 step side was a bit more of a project than he wanted, so he bought a 67 swb off ebay a while back. The old blue step side is currently listed on ebay with a current bid of $1725. The red 67 has been lowered, but a complete 4/6 drop wasn't done, so the plan is to finish the job with the ece kit we already own. We've also been busy buying and flipping c10's. Once the the 68 step side sells, I'll adjust the running total to show where we are on our goal of having two lowered c10's for the price of one.

The 3 flips we've done. The white and blue ones have been sold. The yellow may or may not be sold soon. We're thinking we'll install our left over drop parts and the 20" rims off the red 67 before we sale it. The red 67 long box left for Texas last night on the transport truck.

Re: Two 4 One patina drivers
We have definitely experience some C10 fever this past summer. By next spring we will both be cruising our lowered swb trucks.

Re: Two 4 One patina drivers
Love the red 67 small window shorty.

Re: Two 4 One patina drivers
Glad to see you have disc brakes in the plans. These pickups are NOT safe to drive with front drum brakes!

Re: Two 4 One patina drivers
Im loving that red shorty too.

I added a $500 suburban to the herd today. The 5.3 ran great on the 18 mile drive home. I'm not sure if the 5.3 will be swapped into a c10 or not, but for $500, it was a must buy.

Re: Two 4 One patina drivers
Now that's a deal! Swap it!

This past year my wife and I had a custom home built, so my truck mostly sat waiting for me to have time and money to finish it. This past week I finally finished the steering and had the truck aligned. She still needs a few things, but I started using her as my daily driver three days ago.

The original intent of this thread was to build two patina drivers, however the trucks keep changing. I'll need to do some number crunching, but my 67 patina driver is basically done. I'll get the finally numbers totaled, but I'm in it about $6,500. The other trucks in the thread have found new homes. We did add a 72 Cheyenne swb truck a few months back, so our goal is still intact and we'll proceed from here.

gm crate motor and the parts to finish it. The Cheyenne came to us without a motor, but we plan to fix that.
