Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket
A dual diaphragm booster is always better than a single diaphragm, but I do not know if that will solve your issue. I gather that you did not have this issue with the 15/16" bore master?

Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket
Is your booster pushrod connected in the original hole in the brake pedal or did you drill a new hole 1" higher?

Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket
hoping to get the booster on this weekend....its a parts store Duralast 54-71046....dual 10.9", from a 93 2500 w/vacuum assist.
i'll report back on how it works out for me. |
Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket
I am happy to say that i have corrected the issue. The single 10.9 wasnt enough assist. the dual 10.9....worked like a champ!
now i just need to let the brakes bed in a bit and start adjusting the prop valve. O hope this helps someone else out down the road. ~Ryan Phoenix, AZ |

Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket
It has been brought to my attention that two of my designed brake booster brackets, That I have been selling here in this forum since 2009, have been copied by Right Stuff Detailing and are being marketed as their own design. I used to sell my booster brackets to them at a wholesale cost, but they have not purchased any from me for over 4 years. Now they have stolen my design and are marketing them on Summit Racing.
https://www.summitracing.com/search/...oster-adapters I in no way gave them permission to copy my design of brake booster brackets. This is just a dirty trick on their part. I still fabricate and sell all 34 of my products on our website. Here is a link. https://customfab-cda.com I am just a one man business working 80+hrs/7 days a week every week every month to try and make a living so I can pay my bills and buy food for me and my wife. I just wanted to post this on here to let everyone know that what they see on Summit's website are not my products. They are counterfeits. If any of you who support me in this and wish to let Right Stuff or Summit know your feelings, I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks John |
Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket
I just acquired a 65 C60. It has hydraulic clutch. I looked on you website but wanted to ask if this is what I need. Not sure if there are differences in c10 and c60
https://customfab-cda.com/ols/produc...tch-conversion Thanks |
Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket
That depends on whether your C60 came with a mechanical.clutch or a hydraulic clutch. If it has a mechanical clutch, you will want to purchase the '63-'66 booster bracket with the hydraulic clutch conversion. If it came with a hydraulic clutch from the factory, you will need the '60-'62 booster bracket with the hydraulic clutch. If you aren't sure which one you need you can always email me a few pics.

Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket
Yes you have a hydraulic clutch. You will need my '60-'62 booster bracket with the hydraulic clutch conversion. You will have to move your windshield washer reservoir somewhere else such as on the radiator support above the voltage regulator. That is where some trucks had them from the factory.
