Re: my 80 build

picked up a new sand blaster from harbor freight but it broke, before I was able to blast the frame

Re: my 80 build

started sand blasting the frame I plan on finishing it this week

Re: my 80 build

if your sandblasting it yourself you should prime what ever you get done that same day... if not it will start rusting. i had to redo mine for 15 hours straight then go and prime it immediately afterwards. it sucked.

Re: my 80 build

I'm using some rattle can primmer that's usable on bare metal on the spots I blast

Are you planning on "Z" ing, notching, or drop crossmember with the new frame? I thought about getting another frame and doing that with mine cause I drive it every day.

3r!c84 10-22-2010 12:26 AM

Re: my 80 build

Jonboy 10-22-2010 08:33 AM

Re: my 80 build

Why are you going back up? I think the truck looks great at the height it is now.

Re: my 80 build

well most entrance's to parking lots that are kinda steep the frame tries to high center and the control arms are all bent up from driving on uneven road services, well first I'm going to a 2/3 or 3/4 then want it lower and go back down to a 5-7 or maybe bags

Re: my 80 build

Glad to hear you are still doing the swap. I have been out of the loop for a bit. There you go raising your truck back up & I am making mine lower yet.

Re: my 80 build

pick up a complete top end gasket set for the 6.0 ordered it through work and got a discount at napa, but found out it would be $10 cheaper at summit racing but it was on back order oh well

3r!c84 10-27-2010 08:44 PM

Re: my 80 build

why not bag it right now when the frames all out its easier to do the cutting and stuff
