Built some sway brackets to match the width of the 3rd gen camaro rear sway bar for the rear of my 67 c10. Also fabbed up some exhaust clamps with a wider base for the bushing to mount it to the axle.

Gave the neighbors a break from the hammering and grinding, spent some time with a tape measure taking notes down for a the 4 link and step notch.

I'm about ready to install the same sway bar in my 67.
What size muffler clamps did you use? What did you use to make the frame brackets? Do you have any installed photos?

That's funny. I also gave my neighbors a break from hammering and grinding, instead I ran the pressure washer all day.

I used 3" clamps and I welded a piece of flat stock to the top of the clamp to give the bushing more surface to sit on. I made the sway bar brackets from 3/16 wall 2" square tubing that I had laying around and some flat 3/16 pieces and just cut and welded and drilled to make these. They put the end link holes an inch further out on each side to make the correct width for the bar without having to use a spacer like you would with the factory 3rd gen camaro /firebird mounts. It's not installed yet because I painted them so they're drying but I should have some installed pics posted Tuesday.

Got my Mcgaughy's 4.5/5 kit installed and all new ball joints. Rear tires are rubbing a little (20x10) but other than that it rides so much better than before with all new suspension components!

It looks like your truck didn't have a sway bar before. You will notice an immediate difference in the feel and handling of your truck. The front sway bar install is one of the best bang for the buck upgrades you can do to one of these trucks.

Yes for sure "Already Gone"! It was so weird to take the on ramps in Edmonton. So use to anticipating the roll. I love how it feels. Have a 1" front sway bar that I will be installing in the other truck.
