Not sure about that any more, my place has dropped over 120k in the last year and a half:waah: Only good part of that is I don't plan on selling and my taxes have dropped a bit as well.

On a good note I spoke with Nate this morning for about 30min and he agreed that I can mount the RE-8's at a 2:1 ratio on my rear links since they are #2600 + lbs bags so the bags are a total of #5200lbs worth of lift but at a 2:1 ratio they drop down to 2600lbs total and that is still plenty for my Tahoe. This will also let me mount the bags centered on the links with about 1/4" of room to clear the tires. If they had to go to a 1.5:1 set up then I would need to mount them off center of the bar to clear the 305's. I will start playing with mounts this next week but I will only have until Friday to play with it because I have XXl's truck coming in for a DM install starting Saturday.

Kevin,
The goodguys show was crazy. A very big turn out! Had alot of people check out my 62, alot of them with offers to trade. I checked out that Accuair suburban. That system is sweet. Pricey but sweet! You will have a good time at the show, make sure you bring your sunscreen. I'm burnt! Right on later.

Re: LFD's 4dr Tahoe Build

I went down for a few hours today and it was one of the better shows I have been to their in the past few years as far as turn out.
I made some good contacts as well that may turn into future endeavors.
I am leaning toward running the AccuAir suspension system for my Air management on the Tahoe. Both Reno (Accuair) and ART have great systems and I have run allot or ART's stuff in the past but the one main feature I like about the Accuair system over ART's is that they monitor and adjust the system every 5 sec. when not moving and every 45sec when driving so it is always keeping you right were you want to be. ART's leveling system turns off so to speak after the ride height is set so even it you load or unload weight it will not change until you manually tell it to. Accuair will monitor and adjust as needed during your entire drive. Plus their heads up display is just Bad Ars looking and their entire system is water proof so all you need to have in the vehicle is a small DIN plug for the controller.

So Reno (Accuair) it was very nice putting a face to the name and i look forward to joining up with you in the future. Also I spoke with Clint from KP and he gave me some great info on my bag mounting for the rear of this 6 link C4 set up. All in all it was a good day.

I had some time to kill tonight so I started on the toe in brace. For doing it by hand I think it turned out fairly well. The double shear plate will have the oval like my logo has then it gets buried by a gas tank and set 1" off the ground so no one will ever see it, time well spent:lol:

It's taken me a couple of days to absorb all of the brilliant thought and creativeness you have put into your Tahoe build. I'm caught up now. Outstanding work. This will be THE truck for all to envy. Incredible...

Now figure this one out. UPS takes 7 days to deliver a 2day air package from AZ and today fed-x not only found my house but they also did not want to leave my rims on the porch so they left them by the back door according to the door tag. So I look out our side door were UPS will leave stuff and nothing. Then I look out the back door were my 85lbs Rotty is laying with two 22" coy rims and the best part was I could not find any blood any were:lol: I will be having one of the 305/40R-22's mounted up in the next day or so for test fit and bag mounts.

Funny story when the front rims were dropped off I was in the house for a few minutes but I left a note on the front door letting him know I was out in the shop. I was walking though the kitchen and I see a Fed-X driver standing in my shop and Otto laying right in front of him just giving off the lowest growl I have heard. I asked what happened and was told that Otto was just fine until he tried to walk out:lol: But it turns out ether Otto remembered him and he remembered the word I told him to say or auto is just a male slut for big rims:lol:

What width are your back rims if you are running 305 tires? I thought the 22" Coys were only offered in 9" width? By the way I have been following this whole thread and love the work you have done. Wish I could afford to do a Tahoe for the family.

They are only available in 9" but the 305/40/22 works just fine with a little bulge (just right IMO):

ok, i have to go back and read. time to go home. didn't know this was going on. should look at the build section more often. I am sure i will be reading and seeing good work. I knew about the 4th door and that was it.

Re: LFD's 4dr Tahoe Build

Yep a 305 on a 9" rim is about max for that rim but it is in spec and looks great. The tire is right at 11" out side and the rim is 10" out side so it is roughly a 1/2" bulge and Fry is right it just works. I did not want the Honda look were you can just see the lip of the rim from behind the car plus this way it is a built in wife Curb protector:lol: I have one mounted and I am working on mock up tonight so I will have some pics once I Plasma away a little more body:devil:

Yep he is almost 22 months now. We started his rid a few months ago. It was my test bed for my first IRS install. His truck is a 51 F1 with a TCI Mustang II front and 87 T-Bird IRS rear bags on 4 corners.
Aired out it sits 5/8" off the ground and can drive at that height once it is drivable:lol:

Mile stone tonight. Mounted 1 tire and wheel and ran through the suspension and all is good after a little trimming. First 2 are ride height and the rest are laid out. Last one is the start of the bag mounts.

What is the mounted tire diameter? I was planning on running a 285/35R22 for 30" tire diameter, might be pursuaded to run the 305 if diameter works. Thanx

Mounted on this 9" rim (10" out side width) the tire is 31 3/8" x 11 3/8" at I believe 34 PSI.
