BTW That black strip is still there. I burnt it in good.

At the end of the clip at the bottom there are more clips. I one to the left is a guy on a cb 1300 doing a real burn out. You need to see if you can pull it off on your bike. If you could do it I'll bet some 35 year olds would be looking your way.

I would do that on a dirt bike, not on my 800 lb cruiser.

This burn out was crazy.

OK back to work.

I spot welded a little at a time so it won't warp the sheet metal.

I keeped closing in the gaps, let it cool, and do it again. This took me over 3 hours.

Then I ground down the welds to shape the flare. I went back a few times to spot weld in the missed spots, and ground again.

Looks great!!:metal:

Thanks Allan. I thought welding the gap would be easier than adding metal. But the rear drip rail I'll have to add a strip of metal. It's very time consuming, but worth it. What do you think about taking off that drip rail in front of the door on the A pillar?
I was going to just remove it to make all the lines flow.

That's definitely not the easy way. But it's been done before. I want something that nobody has done before. Or was it http://belair.smugmug.com/photos/613071819_u7UZP-M.gif

That's what I did to mine. I like it, it cleans up the lines very nicely.

Holly $h*t how did you get my address? Just from my description? Go to street view, and turn on Mission. You will see me and my dog at the side gate. That cracked me up. In the view you shown is before I bought the house.
