it is just you young guys whining about feeling old, mind you some are old at 50 while others are young at 65. then again the mind does play tricks on us sometimes
it sure is nice not to have all that heat that I hear you fellows are having down south

They didn't have any metal light enough for me, but said I could dig threw the dumpster. So I went dumpster diving and brought this home.

Worked on the LT bedside only, patching rust and pulling dents. I had a hard time getting the pull pins to stick. I was using an extension cord so I eliminated the cord and it worked better, but still had some trouble.

Didn't really want to go up this high, but the metal was pretty thin from corrosion. I felt better by eliminating it.

What did you use for the replacement lip, and how did you make the holes? I have to replace the entire length of mine on both sides and need all the help I can get

I only had a few to drill and shape with a small file. Like Ron says below Mar-k in OK has the inner panel patch panels.

you can drill and file as Alan says or if you have quite a few just drill and use a jig saw with a fine metal cutting blade to clean the corners out

I told Ronnie to have the guy that did the doors fix them and get them fitting the cab the way he wants. Then he said he is bringing it back to me to get the front sheet metal on. I really don't like going behind someone else's work. I don't know what is under the primer.

I've got to finish up the cab. The bed needs some more work still.

Ronnie will have to tell you about the frame etc.

That is one straight truck Alan! Which makes me think of a question, how do you guys wash between the end of the bed and the cab? I cant even get my hand in between there to put any kind of pressure on whatever I might use to wash it?

Thanks!! As far as washing it I couldn't tell you. I have not washed one in 20 years. I got mine home and tore it apart right away.
