But you could order many options for earlier years. . Many guys still add them today. That may be the case here with his truck. |

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
I had the same problem Desert.Chevy. I found some 15" "Camper Specials" They are stock for our trucks so they use the hubcaps and there 8'' wide with an offset that will accommodate the disc brakes. I haven't figured out how to post a picture on here but you can check it out on the 60-66 chevy.com Facebook pagehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/191006017617783/ or my personnel https://www.facebook.com/rickeylee.rogers

In fact, I wouldn't replace the whole rocker. I would do something far less intrusive and just patch the rot. |
Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
New member. Just bought my 63' a month ago. I thought this should be my first post considering this was my first mod.
CCP kit -springs, shocks & swaybars Front- 3' lowing springs with 1/2 coil cut, so it's probably 4' total Rear- 4' lowering springs with 2' drop blocks, 6' total http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...psc80a0f66.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps941a4938.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps0c8d055c.jpg |

How much suspension travel do you have in the rear being that low? Thanks. |
Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
Thanks!!!
It was restored about 2-3 years ago. Not show quality but excellent daily driver quality, with the major stuff like motor&trans and body&paint already being done. I like wrenching, and can do bolt on parts but when it comes to the major stuff I'll pay a perfessional. In my opinion the springs have a perfect spring rate. Not too stiff, but stiff enough, along with the sway bars to give good corner handling. The shocks that came in the kit aren't very good though. The front tends to have a floaty bounce. I'm really picky when is comes to my suspension and handling as I tend to do track days with my other cars, but this truck is my daily driver. I wanted a more comfortable, but fun ride that I can zip around corners. I didn't want to put a ton of money into it, that's way I bought the kit. If I had to do it over agin, I don't think I woud recommend this kit. You can probably piece together your own kit with better shocks, and better swaybar endlinks/mounts for around the same price. I'll probably upgrade to better shocks in the future. Theres about 1 inch travel in the front after shaving down the new bumpstops a little. In the rear I have zero travel it's riding on the new bump stops, as I did not c-notch. |
